I'm not a casual football fan.

I want my team to make it to the Super Bowl.

Denver will choke again in the playoffs. Houston on the other hand will get their act together and finish the season strong, reaching the superbowl.

The only way Schaub and Kubiak get to the Super Bowl is if you buy them tickets and a real good GPS. Even then, it is probably only 50%.

Every real football fan knows that the two teams that look the best after week 3 always make it to the Super Bowl.

Houston Texans fans about to show the world they're on real football fans' level.

Seahawks home schedule for the rest of the season: Titans. Bucs, Vikings, Saints, Cards, Rams. Right now, that's 5 wins at worst. And the defense can only go up, getting Chris Clemons and Browner back, and Irvin returning in week 5.

Peyton Manning probably won't get more than the only ring he has. This year they won't even touch the AFC championship game. I will place any bets on it.

Speaking of real fans, I'm sick of Seahawks fans telling us what great fans they are.

Seriously. A fan base isn't defined by their fervor for fair weather.

I'd say the Seahawks have had an awesome homefield advantage ever since the new stadium was built, and they re-branded the team back in the mid-2000s. That Super Bowl run back in 2005, plus the crazy playoff win against the Saints a few years ago re-energized the fanbase, and turned the city into a football town where in years before, basketball and baseball ruled the landscape. Seattle is definitely a fun place to watch a game, and I'd say the fans they have now are probably there to stay for a long time. While it's obvious that you're going to get more bandwagon fans while the team is good, I wouldn't call Seattle a fair-weather city.

When the Mariners made the playoffs back in the early to mid 90's, the Seattle paper decided to reprint some of the key rules of baseball so the "fans" would understand what they were watching. Awesome.

At that same time, Cleveland was being hailed for having the best baseball fans...winning in a brand new ballpark. Of course, I hadn't forgotten that a few years prior they were averaging around 10K/game. Now they're good again...on the cusp of making the playoffs...and they're just below the Astros in attendance per game. Sweet.

I think most NFL fans want to see Seattle vs. SF out of the NFC and Texans vs. Broncos out of the AFC.

People are attached to personalities and story lines:

    Harbaugh and Kaepernick's redemption
Pete Carroll's NFL success, Richard Sherman leading a ridiculous defense and Russell Wilson's offensive abilities
    Manning's record breaking resurgence
AJ finally getting the chance to play on the big stage, J.J. Watt's game-changing defense.

The only other teams that people would want to see are RGIII/Redskins and AP/Minny.
    But that isn't happening

If that SB does come around peyton will lose again in because he will face a tough defense, and he cant play in the cold.

Didn't they prove that Seattle was pumping in crowd noise over the loudspeakers a few years ago?

Say what you want about Seattle, but they always supported the Sonics. Ironically, that was the team they lost.
