I think the Rockets are the perfect fit for Dan. He said, from the time he returned from his pre-draft work out, that Houston was the place he wanted to be. I think many people will be surprised how well he will do here. If anyone ever wants to talk X's and O's feel free to e-mail. Also, as I mentioned above I will be in Houston for the first two regular season games, Please feel free to come up and talk. I am always willing to talk basketball. You will never get to criticize or second guess but I will be happy to talk theory and strategy ------------------
Steve, have you been to Dan's apartment? If so, have you met the neighbors? Sorry, I know its off topic, but it's one of those days. ------------------ Too often, we lose sight of life's simple pleasures. Clutch, or maybe Steve could answer this one. Who did Dan pattern his game after? Which NBA team did he follow growing up? ------------------ In order to be a success in life, you need 2 things: 1. Don't tell everything you know.
hey finn, don't go stealing my questions. dang, I coulda come up with a lot more if I didn't have to go to class in soaking rain. ------------------ There are 3 kinds of lies: lies, lies, and heypeeisms. -DrofDunkingDonuts
Ask: <OL>[*]Dream: 1 - What have you done during the offseason to correct your breathing problems, and what are the experts you've contacted telling you will solve the problem if it comes back up during the year? 2 - Now that Steve Francis is such a valuable player on the team, how are you adjusting your role this year. 3 - Have you developed any new moves or shots that takes into account your new role as you get older? 4 - If you returned to full health this year, and the team did well in the playoffs, so you felt we could win it all in the next year or two, would you want to come back next year? [*]Cato: 1 - Last preseason, you were incredible, and everyone thought you were the logical successor to Dream. But then, as the season progressed, you were less successful, causing some to doubt the preseason assessment. Why do you think your play dwindled? 2 - Will we see more of last years preseason performance throughout this year, and why? 3 - Do you see yourself being the center of the future in Houston, and why? 4 - What do you have to do to be consistent on this team? 5 - When do you see yourself having a breakout season, so everyone sees what Cato can do in the NBA? [*]Wiz: 1 - In the last couple months of the season, you played like everyone had hoped you would when we traded for you. What were the factors that caused things to really come together for you at the end of the season? 2 - Do you see yourself picking up where you left off last season? 3 - At the end of the season, you guys were able to beat the West powers. Was that a fluke, or do you think you can do that again this year, especially since Portland and LA improved. 4 - How do you see yourself playing with Langhi? How good is he? [*]Anderson: 1 - How do you see yourself and Mobely playing together this year? 2 - Do you plan on staying with the team after your contract is up? 3 - Do you see yourself playing at the 3 much this year? [*]Taylor: 1 - Do you expect to improve your rebounding this year, and why? 2 - Do you see yourself being in Houston for the longrun, or do you think you'll end up somewhere else next year after your one year contract is up? 3 - How do you see yourself playing with Francis, Mobely and Anderson? 4 - Why was Houston your best choice? 5 - Do you think any of the other players at LAC would be good for Houston, such as Maggette, Kandi or Odom, and have you heard any of them talk about that possibility? [*] Francis: 1 - You pursued Mobely, got him, then you and Mobely went after Mo, and got him. How do you see the rebuilding at Houston going, and what are the next pieces you see us needing to become a championship team again? 2 - Will you make the all star team this year? 3 - Do you think the team will make it to the playoffs this year, and how far do you see us going? 4 - How do you feel getting Taylor affects the team and why will Houston be better? 5 - Do you see Taylor's rebounding improving and why? 6 - How do you see Dream's role on the team this year? 7 - What players do you hope we are able to get in next year's draft, and why? 8 - Do you see your scoring average going up this year, and what do you predict will be your average? 9 - How do you see Mobely's role on the team this year, and do you think he'll be content coming off the bench like last year? 10 - Is there any other free agent you wish Houston would still go after or anyone you'd like to see Houston trade for and why? [*]Thomas: 1 - How did you feel about Houston getting MoTaylor this offseason? 2 - What role do you see yourself playing on the team this year? 3 - Who do you expect to start at PF? If Mo starts, do you think you could push him for the starting job anytime this or next season? [*] Collier: 1 - Why do you think Houston took you in the draft so early, when many predicted you'd go later in the draft than you did? 2 - What do you see as your role on the team this year? [*] Langhi: 1 - Do you think you could be the long term solution for Houston at SF or do you see yourself as more of a backup role player? [*] Any Player: 1 - Now that Houston is seriously rebuilding, what are the pieces that have to be added to the team in order to get back to the championship? 2 - What player do you wish Houston could realistically trade for and has any player told you he'd like to come here? 3 - How do you hope Houston gets in the draft next year and why? 4 - Do you think Houston will make the playoffs this year, and how far do you see us going? 5 - Who do you see making the Western playoffs this year, and in what order? 6 - Ask other players about the other players, and what they think about earlier questions. [*]Rudy: 1 - How do you see Taylor affecting the team this year, and do you expect Houston to resign him next year? 2 - How far can Houston go in the playoffs this year? 3 - What do you see as the rebuilding steps Houston has to take to be back competing for the championship? 4 - What other players would you like to get? 5 - Who do you see Houston drafting next year? 6 - What picks do you anticipate us getting next year? 7 - Why do you think Williams improved at the end of the season, and do you expect him to pick up where he left off? 8 - How do you see Dreams health impacting him this season? 9 - What has Cato done to get back to last year's preseason form this off season? 10 - Why did you pick Collier and Langhi in the draft, and what impact do you see them having? 11 - Did you talk to any of the Olympic players about coming to Houston and did any of them show interest? 12 - How do you see the Western Conference shaping up, and where do you see Houston ending up in the pecking order by the end of the year?[/list=a] Clutch, I know I got these too late, but I didn't know if you'd check the site or if you could use them at another time. Thanks for all the good work. ------------------ the more I know, the more I know I don't know...
Sherlock, ever think of a career in journalism?? ------------------ Too often, we lose sight of life's simple pleasures. Remember, when someone annoys you it takes 42 muscles in your face to frown, but it only takes 4 muscles to extend your arm and pimp-slap the mother****** upside the head!
Clutch, if you can't think of anything to ask, why don't you send Sherlock. He's seems more than up to the task. I'm serious though, when I tell you I want you to ask CD and RT about the conditions for the picks we got for Drew. They'll probably say they can't say, but who knows. I want to know those conditions! ------------------ Rockets Draft Obligations Summary http://www.gaffordstudios.cjb.net/
tell Cuttino that alot of people doubt his defensive ability (idiots). Please ask him why his defense is so underated, and what he will do to showcase the defensive skills that earned him the A-10 all defence honors. also ask him how Tyson Wheeler(his buddy, and old collage teamate) is doing, and when he will make it to the league. Cat will like that last question, he is always rooting for wheeler. *PEACE ------------------
Chrisco- Are you going to dallas for UT/OU?? -Elie ------------------ Oh.. so this is how you add a signature huh? coo coo.
I wish. Sounds like a good game. ------------------ There are 3 kinds of lies: lies, lies, and heypeeisms. -DrofDunkingDonuts
It's hard to say. Our father was 6'6" @ 260lbs. I'm 6'6" @225. Our middle brother is 6'5" @ 235 lbs. I've always thought that is was the fact he grew so fast in such a short time, that his weight was never able catch up. In highschool, he was average hieght and played PG up to his sophmore year. Then in a two year span he went to 6'9". Then to 6'11" by his second year at Vandy. One thing I can say is don't let his frame fool you. He can bang with the best of them and the kid is as strong as a brick wall. Also, FrancisFan I read that post a while back. It was a little scary thinking of someone going around looking at the players butts but I have to amit it was funny. ------------------
I asked why he was looking at his butt. How did you find out about CluthCity.net, because I didn't find out about it until the end of last season. ------------------ Cuttino Mobley Online [This message has been edited by FrancisFan (edited October 06, 2000).]
