If we start Collier at PF, then it's like Private "Gomer Pyle" said in Full Metal Jacket, "We (I'm) are in a world of s***!"

IMO, I just don't think that Collier will help us starting at the 4 compared to starting or backing up the 5. We are better off starting KT or EG or of course, bringing someone in. Not to sound smart, NIKEstrad, but just because he played the 4 in college doesn't mean he can do a great job in the NBA. It's a world of difference there. When I said he had zero experience, I was talking about at the NBA level.

Not better than any of them, but just as well as Thomas, Jackson, or Gatling could.

As none of the mentioned are stellar defensive players(Besides Griffin and Mason)

I disagree with you on this. Just like SteveFrancis3 said, Collier doesn't have the lateral quickness to stay with the 4s in the West. If we start him at the 4, then I'm sorry but I can't be optismistic about our playoff chances. It will be "Hello lottery for a 3rd straight year."

    Haven,
I didn't mean litteraly pig is bad for chemistry, but more for moral. Face it, he's a scrub. Yea he hustles, but I'd rather take a chance on someone else. Jackson or Mase get my attention.

I don't want Collier starting at the four either, but I think it would be just as easy for him to play the four as the five.

None of these guys:Thomas, Jackson, or Gatling are any better of defenders than Collier.

Gatling especially has trouble with lateral quickness(Or any for that matter).

Collier has dropped weight(In Fat), and added some more(In muscle), I assume some of it is in his legs.

BTW, where did you hear that Collier is below average in lateral quickness(For the Average NBA center/PF)?

He is just as quick off of his feet as Thomas, Jackson, or Gatling.

I don't know if I'm right, but I watch many of the games and as far as I can observe, Kenny is a descent man to man defender. He positions himself good and stays in front of his man. He man not be the largest, strongest, or quickest guy out there, but he is not as slow as you guys make him out to be.
