I think the problem with JVG's system and this team is one of learning.

The team looks like they are trying to hard to run the right play, and it is taking too much effort to concentrate on the technical aspect. For whatever reason Jeff's teaching modality isn't working with this team. Jeff should go more basic, with his offensive set until everyone gets comfortable. Then he can work these guys up to his ideal set.

I believe that JVG thinks a team of pros should be able to run his offensive set fairly fluidly. He may be right, but these guys aren't doing that. He needs to knock it back a step, and let these guys gain their confidence.

Out of that confidence we might find either Yao or Tmac ready to step up and be the leader we need. Everything else will fall into place then.

I feel that Yao and Tracy should both play all of the 4th quarter, and most of the 1st quarter. This gives the opportunity for us to build a lead early and do what it takes at the end of the game to win. Though I have liked JVG, I am finding way too often that I disagree with his choices on this, and when the Knicks went 11-0 on us early in the 4th - that's when we lost the game. That was JVG.

Disagree - it repeatedly gives us an option of an inside or an outside shot from different positions.

I agree. Whatever he's doing, it isn't working. I still think we should lob or alley-oop more often. And Jeff was right - Yao should learn how to play while facing the basket.

This doesn't seem to make much diference to me.

    Agreed.
