My first board was a Sims Screamer in '83. I never was that good. I liked skating the mini ramps and I could do some grinds and simple stuff but nothing major. Some friends of mine my age (34) still skate pools etc. I had just bought a new cool over-sized board and skated a ramp for the first time in ten years when I hurt my back pretty major (not skate related). If I ever skate again it would be a miracle.

But I would love to have an old Zorlac "Big Boys" model just for the hell of it.

Public Domain and Ban this were pretty good as well. H-street also put out some good skate videos.."Shakle me not and Hokus Pokus" to name a few.

i used to skate the skatepark of houston back in 89-90. the first ramp i ever dropped in on was the 6' half pipe. i rolled in on the 12' sucker.

i also remember the bowl and the ninja ramp as well.

Landsdale pool was in a neighborhood by Gessner and Bellaire, by St. Francis church.

This thread makes me want to go skate. It's great excercise if you skate half-pipes. It's pretty sad to think of skating now as excercise.
