I used an electric Braun in the past but it just wasn't a close enough shave for me. Now I use a Fusion Power every morning with some Nivea shave gel and after shave lotion.
I bought the Braun Pulsonic and promptly returned it two days later. It just didn't give me a close shave. Now I have the Philips Arcitec, and I really like it. It gives me a close shave and doesn't rip the hair off my face like the Pulsonic (or my old Braun razor) sometimes did (which freaking hurt). Cleaning is cheaper, too.
where did you buy it from? how was the return policy? Everyone says something different, i might just have to try it for myself. All the reviews for Braun are pretty good
I also have a Phillips (Norelco) Arcitec I got recently. I used this link and I'd say the reviews in it are fairly accurate http://www.consumersearch.com/www/family/electric-shavers I have really rough scuffed-up skin and thick hair so I've never had luck getting close shaves out of electric shavers. But I dont want a close shave anyways. I've used 3 electric shavers ever - 2 rotary shavers and 1 foil shaver. I'd say the foil shaver shaved the closest. Thats what the majority of people think as well, so for closeness a Braun foil shaver might be best. I went for the "swivel & pivot" technology of the Arcitec. It hasnt pulled a hair once but its irritated my face a little.
Anybody know where I can buy the shave secret http://www.shavesecret.com/ I went to the walmart on 45 and louetta but they don't sell it there. I got the info from an old post from here http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showpost.php?p=2450480&postcount=10
i have the braun clean and renew one.. 8000 or 9000.. best i've had. all the past remington's i've had are terrible. plus, if you don't feel like buying those cleaner refill solution packs, you can use everclear + some fragrant oil... exactly the same.
I've had a problem with many electrics in the past. My whiskers must be rough, because I always end up ripping the screen part over the blades. I've been afraid of getting more electrics because of that.
