Collecting shoes is popular. Can't believe some of you haven't heard of "sneakerheads." The argument that people who collect shoes are childish/dumb can be made about any hobby. I'm 23 years old, and I collect Rockets bobbleheads. I also just started collecting them about a year or two ago. It's fun to have a hobby that you enjoy. With that said, I just stick to Adidas; never owned a pair of J's before. Shoe collecting is too expensive, for me. If you're a sneakerhead, more power to you.

Actually, the limited edition Jordan 11 Cool Greys that just came out sold for a retail value of about $200. Because of its exclusivity I've seen listings for it for up to $400 on eBay. So no, it's not a waste of money. It's the same as collecting Rocket memorabilia. It has both monetary and sentimental value.
Not really. You can usually flip unworn Jordan's for more at anytime. Yep. You can basically always get a free pair of re-released shoes if you buy 2 pairs. Profit at 3 plus.
