The great ones often don't need nicknames. They are later bestowed on them through their play like "His Airness, Glide, Miller Time, Magic, Iceman, Doctor J, Chocolate Thunder, Human Highlight Film, The Big Fundamental, Sir Charles, Larry Legend, Air Canada or Vinsanity, The Kid or KG, The Mailman, Big Aristotle, Zo, The Admiral, Big Dog, Big Nasty, Agent Zero, Flash, Spoon. Lot of great players also weren't known for any nicknames too.

Tarzan sounds cool! I thought about LS4 but it sounds like a race car. How about the Tarzan Scorpion or not.

Considering what happened to King Louis and the fact that we got a guy named Luther Head on the team...

    I like it.

My favorite 2 so far are Tarzan and Rocky.

If we are legitimately trying to think of a name that would stick, it has to be appropriate for an NBA player.

Some of the ideas I have heard (e.g. Coca-Cola Scola) are too childish for a grown-ass professional athlete.

Tarzan or Rocky are solid choices and have stick potential.

As stated earlier, his full name is Luis Alberto Scola Balvoa[/SIZE] (Balvoa like Balboa) so Rocky is a fitting nickname.

If Rudy T has equated Scola to Kurt Rambis, then I'm going to call him Rambo.
