Hope this appeases some of you. Its honestly like middle school around here... "he's not posting about them! He's not hanging out with them! He's not spending time on TV talking about them! He's just hanging out with Uptons boobs!" (well, that last one is pretty accurate... and can't be faulted of anybody).

If Verlander already lived in Houston full time (ala LMJ), you'd probably see him choose here to rehab, and you'd probably see more of him. He doesn't... so he didn't.

Verlander was less than a week away from actually pitching for the Astros in 2020. He was throwing either live BP or a bullpen at Minute Maid and it tore even more. That was it. He alsmost made it back. I think it was like a Wednesday and the Astros were talking about him pitching Monday or Tuesday the next week.

I kinda don’t blame him for not tweeting and just privately supporting them. With the Twitter trolls he would be non stop defending himself.

Liked his Neverlander idea. Cute. But not really scary. Happy Halloween.

I don't remember this about Bagwell.

From Verlander directly - he has attempted to visit several times but the Astros told him to stay away. Also, he is using his own training staff to recover and not the Astros. Interesting.

Haha not even next. I literally saw people saying that verbatim in direct response to his tweets. Pretty sure Kate doesn't give two flying ****s about the Astros when her husband isn't pitching.....certainly not enough to come to a game without him.

They should have asked jv if he has been in contact with any of the players.

Yes. This should be the response when people speculate that he had the surgery “late” just so he could spend the whole year rehabbing and making money…

Well as predicted, JV laying the smack down on twitter has appeased some who just had to hear from him in some way.

Now to figure out if that Granato story was true or not… I guess somebody could ask JV on twitter…

This makes a ton of sense and remedies my concerns to date. Okay…I’m back to salivating over the idea of resigning JV as our TOR arm. Our staff would be laughably legitimate. Young tested arms across the board (LMJ, Framber, Garcia, Urquidy is a SICK 2-5), could make for one of the greatest staffs ever honestly, especially with other arms in the farm. There’s not a lot of great TOR options this year, but could really work out well for the Stros. Do that and extend Correa knowing he’ll opt out in a few years…could be reeeeeeally scary hours in Houston to quote James Harden if JV can return to even ~80-90% of what he was.
