Ever since Lowry became a Rocket I've been a staunch supporter of his. I always thought he should start. Adelman started putting Lowry in for Brooks during the last minutes of tight games by the end of the season and the playoffs.

The most reasonable way to decide who starts once and for all is to have Brooks start beginning of next season and Lowry come off the bench. If Brooks has not improved his decision making and playmaking abilities from last year Lowry should take over the starting spot.

We only have 2 PGs, unless you are counting Jon Barry. Jon Barry may not have anything left in the tank. Another Bob Sura incident would mean Brooks or Lowry for 48 minutes a game, which could lead to another injury.

Well, I'm just saying that we should try to go for another center to back up david anderson, rather than another point. I mean we still have an empty spot there.

I like Lowry better as a point but this roster NEEDS Brooks to score or we are screwed.

Brooks is the starter until we get a Star scorer. If TMac comes back healthy then I expect to see more of Lowry.

I agree that Lowry is a much better point guard. But with the starting lineup we will be putting out there at the beginning of the year, we need brooks for his scoring.

There is no denying Lowry's talents.....but his wins per 48 minutes i think was so high last year b/c he came in with our bench, which was deeper and more talented than most other benches that we faced, so he could always take advantage of that.

Personally i think that Brooks has a higher ceiling than Lowry and we have to try to tap into that if we can. I like the idea of playing them both at the same time for a few minutes in the game (late 3rd or early 4th quarter) against a smaller lineup.

Brooks is a clutch shooter, needs to work on those late 4th quarter free throws a bit though. I wouldnt mind seeing them both finish off a game though. Lowry has the smarts to make the right play down the stretch, and Brooks is a clutch shooter. Undersized but a deadly combo.
