    That makes sense.

How about, until Aaron Brooks can guard a cone and run a team like a proper PG, he is a backup PG/SG...

That's exactly what we need to do. Hope we can get an upgrade at the 1,gonna be hard, but DM will look to do that IMO.

I like lowry. Rockets should keep him. I am not convinced Brooks is going to have a break out year. If Brooks stinks it up, I want Lowey to be right there to pick things up.

Both have pros and cons but the major issue I have with Brooks is his decision making, even reminds me of Luther Head sometimes.

    Who do you think?

    Rubio?
Augustin? (Maybe the Bobs will give him up with AI in town?)
Felton? (Same thing, Is he even an upgrade? Could probably be had for Carl...)
    Ramon?

Who else is there that would be a worthwhile upgrade?

Until Brooks can stop being a turnstyle on defense and consistently set up his teammates, he is a backup PG.

I loved Lowry for this team when we still had the big 3. He's still a good player, but Brooks needs to start. We can't do without his offense.

I think Brooks will definitely start next season and given reigns to the offense. However, he could easily get traded mid-season while his stock is at the highest.

If this team actually had some stars, Lowry IMO is the better fit as the starter. And I think he's the long term answer unless Brooks turn out to be the next Devin Harris or something.

AB can score, and his D is underated, he outplayed Billups, Harris and CP3, then in the playoffs both Portland's PGs and LA's PGs.

AB has earned the starting job.

Yes, he is better than Steve Blake and Derek Fisher...

    Bravo...

Why do you dislike AB so much? If AB struggles Lowry will get his shot, but without Yao or Tmac, we need scoring punch and AB is a better scorer than Lowry.

I bet they both get a lot of playing time anyway.....just cheer for them both.

Where you are making that connection I have no idea...

    I love Aaron Brooks.

AB played with Artest more (no stats to prove, but both did start), that will cause a lot of indecision.

You can like a player, but like another player more.

Unless AB really shows some amazing growth next season, I personally maintain that he's still best suited as either (A)6th man off the bench or (B)2-guard in the mold of Ben Gordon given that we have a big PG(dreams of John Wall).

It's easy to get hooked on Brooks' great performances. But let's not forget that this guy disappeared in as many games as he has dominated.

Lowry may not have a 3 point shot, but he has a mid-range jumper. So he's not total liability in terms of spreading the floor. And he's much better than AB in all aspect of the game besides scoring.

Felton,is an upgrade from Kyle but is somewhat similar in the sense that he isn't a reliable 3 point shooter.

Don't see AI staying with the Bobcats for more than a year. Augustin is probably a keeper.

Rubio might cost a lot,and has that messy buyout. He also might end up staying in Europe for a while. If the Bucks, are cheap,Ramon might become available for maybe Landry and a future pick IMO.

There might be a possibly that the Bobcats might end up moving Felton if they don't want to give him a bigger contract,DM should look into that. I wouldn't want to give him a lot of money though.

I would agree to an extent if Yao was playing alongside Kyle. But on a free flowing offense with no low post presence to create open threes, getting to the rack and being a more natural point is more important than shooting threes.

I like Lowry, only issue is he's short. Now hieghts not a huge factor at the pg position but don't imagine a 3pt shot to Lowry's arsenal. He'll get beat on the D no matter how quick his shot is so from Lowry we should want him to add a Brooks like speed, sharper passes, and a better drive to the basket all in the efforts of coinciding w adelman's fast paced offense.

I guess the op didn't watch the playoffs. If there was any question who should start, which it wasn't because brooks is adelmans pick, its not even close. Brooks is like terrell brandon, lowry is like earl watson. Which would you want. I think this will be lowry's last season in houston if he makes it through the season.

He isn't going to become as quick as Brooks, but a PG's job is to control tempo, his passing and driving will get better with experience. He can become a solid backup PG. Brooks will be better off as a 2 guard who can pass a bit, despite being heavily undersized for that spot.

Lowry is like Earl Watson, but Brooks is not like Terrell Brandon. Brandon was a true first pass 1,Brooks is a scorer.
