Lampe was the worst NBA player I have ever seen. He wasn't even deserving of the garbage minutes he got last year. He should be cut (the hell with salary cap implications) and his roster spot given to some NBDL star.

Seriously Agree. How is the NBDL program anyway these days? Do we have the option to threaten players to ship them down to the B league for a year or two? It might help to light a fire under some of these dead wood guys...It might also be hilarious to see how Rybo does in the D league...

*Lol and hopeful on the steroids comment*

Bowen is a joke and a disgrace for the Rockets uniform! Trade this loser and trade lampe too, with those two we could trade for a decent PF or SG!

Yes. I'm sure there are plenty of teams lining up to trade decent PFs and SGs for Ryan Bowen and Maciej Lampe.

Magic Lamp is a waste of 6'11". I would rather have Lonny Baxter back on the team.

The Rockets did not pick up the team option on Lampe's contract. He is now on the Phoenix Suns' summer league team.

Bowen most likely picked up the player option on his deal. As an 11th or 12th man, I actually think Bowen is a good player to have. He is a great practice player, and he is very effective coming in for defensive purposes at the ends of quarters (i.e., to avoid getting McGrady in foul trouble). The only reason he was on the court so much last season was because T-Mac was injured so much. But now that we have Battier, you won't be seeing Bowen on the court that much next season. Just for the 3-4 minutes a game that we need him for.

Regarding Lampe, can someone recap what happened in the dreaded halftime incident?

Please cut Bowen. Just cut him. I cannot stand JVG playing him any more.

Lampe? really don't know much about him.

The problem is JVG plays him as if he were our 7th or 8th man. The 11th or 12th man of a team should be a year-around bench warmer and ballboy.
