G Green will be an unrestricted FA this summer. If the Rockets like him, Morey can get him as FA. BUT, young kids sometimes never get it. JR Smith rings a bell - amazing talent but TO machine, bad shot selections, & bad attitutde. Qyntel Woods is another one - great athlete, never develops good enough game. If a team like T-Pups looking for young talents and they dont want G Green, then it's a warning sign. Kirk Snyder has been abandoned by 2 teams that are dying for a SG and the Rockets scoop Snyder up and we all know what happen.
I watched the Minny v. Celtics game too and Tommy H was pretty critical of him saying that he just didn't get it. Basically calling him stupid...but he is only 21 years old, there is still time. I would love for the Rockets to take a chance on him. Trade Snyder's expiring contract for him.... DD

What's with all the love for these athletic knuckleheads on this board? First it was Darko, now it's Green. All their positives are blown out of proportion while their numerous major weaknesses are brushed aside. It's as if no one cares if Green has no ballhandling ability, no passing ability, no defense, poor shot selection, and a horrible work ethic. Everyone's willing to overpay to get him just assuming he'll start playing the right way when he has none of the tools. Look at Darko supporters in this thread. I find this circle-jerk beyond amusing. We have people here who want to trade our only above average interior defender (in the loaded western conference) for a guy that can't get burn on the worst team in the league in the midst of a youth movement. sometimes i wonder if you guys are attracted to all shiny objects.
Remember Gerald is still young and give time around a coach like Rick and a player like Shane will help him. There is no help in Minny, all of them are 12 years old and learning on the fly. We have the veterans to help him get better. I say we move Kirk, please tell me how much defense Novak has and he's now getting minutes.

This site is for those who have an opinion on the rockets. Gerald Green has committed any crimes that I'm aware of and offers us more than Kirk suited up on the sidelines.
