    I have to say, this is the best thread I have seen for a while. With all the "which pg you want" and "what should we do with the TE" threads, it is refreshing to see something more light-hearted and out of the norm.

    for yao, how about either chairman yao or ming the manifesto.

    I like this thread too. But Yao's just doesn't seem like a nick-name guy so this is hard.

    lol, it be easier if Yao would change his name. "Yao" is too distinctive in American culture - know any other famous Yao's?

    So I think he should get esoteric - I think all the good muslim names are taken - so if he were to change his name to something like Elvin Moses Hakeem or Shaq-is-my-b*tch this would be so much easier.

    But I have nothing either :(

    Actually, I think this one (no pun intended) has the most potential. (Only I'd write it "The 1s", but that's just me). It's punchy, it's catchy, it works on several levels---the jerseys, the fact that they're option 1A and 1B, something I'm sure we'll debate ad nauseum next season. I like it.

    I don't like this one as much, but just for fun:

    What about "The Neptunes"?

    The real Neptunes is an african-american guy along with an asian guy. Plus, it would go along with the whole Rockets space theme.
