Any college kids here succumb to facebook?

I still don't know what a face book is. I don't think they had one at UT when I went there.

 

Barely had the friggin internet when i was in college. Bastards.

 

It was fun at first but it got old quick. But its pretty popular here at TAMU. Its popular everywhere.

I'm not completely certain what it is, but I think I read an article about it a while back -- basically you can post your picture and talk to people over the web so that when you see people around, you'll recognize them from Facebook and know who they are and can talk to them. Or not, I don't know for certain. Anyone want to help me out here?

Or am I not even close? Is it basically a college version of LiveJournal?

 

That's the idea. Mostly people just use it for stalking (in the non-threatening sense) purposes.

 

Essentially, its just a profile, shows your info such as your name, major, high school attended and what year, can give interests such as music and movies, just a basic profile, you can post your pic, then you send "invites" to others to be on your facebook, if they agree there is a list that shows "your friends".
