    I like Steven Hunter.

He is a young guy that can block shots and looked pretty damn good playing against Yao Ming in Houston last year.

Chris Mihm is another player I would like to have as a back up for both center and forward spots.

I think Ostertag is the best option right now at backup center.

My apologies if I came across as a smart donkey. I really meant to be flippant but failed. While I would like to acquire Mihm for his ability to serve as C and PF, we probably can acquire a backup C like Jake Tsakilitis (sp) or Bateer who can spell Yao for 10 to 15 minutes per game and without a heavy cost. I know. I know. Mihm will cost us. But, lest we forget, he is from The University of Texas at Austin.

I saw Banks in four games and he looked good all four times.

I did not check his stats and disregarded Lue's trade status so Nikestrad appropriately boxed my ears. I have nothing against Lue. Herdlike, I am following the fears of most board members in that the Rocks roster will feature three players from 2004's worst NBA basketball team. That means Yao and Jackson are the only two starters from last year's playoff team.

BTW, I have hoped the Rocks could acquire Gaines for quite some time. He was dynamite in college where he showed scoring, passing and leadership skills.:)

I know he's really old but RODMAN can still probably play great defence and rebound. I wouldnt mind signing him at all.

Chris Mihm will get at least Michael Doleac type of money. Will the Rockets be willing to pay it?

Is Kevin Willis retired? I know we can get Vinny Baker because no one is interested. Seriously, if we dont want to pay MLE type of money, we should look at washed up vets who can give us 15 min. a night. And it's almost definitely better if we wait and drag this thing into late August to September. Maybe someone will get desperate and sign with us for cheap. Remember we don't need a star for backup center. We can always put Mo and Howard in at the same time and play small ball. I think that the style of play in the West is gonna change now that the big fella has moved to Miami.

Oh, and say no to Steven Hunter. The guy gets 10 min a game on the Magic (who has the worst frontline in the league) not for lack of talent, but for a bad attitude.

Jake T is a RFA. I don't see West giving him up even if he gets Dampier.

I like Mihm or Ostertag to back up Yao but what will be the cost? Honest tay, Ostertag has been great in his last 2 years with Jazz! While Mihm can play PF and C fo good 15 to 25 min. Both players, i think fits well!

The type of guy we need is the type of guy we drafted last year with our 44th selection. Im afraid he may be to raw but hes the type of player were looking for.

What about Mikki Moore or Boumtje-Boumtje. Both could be had for dirt cheap.

Does anyone know much about Josh Moore with the Clippers? He is 7'2, 328 lbs., but I dont think he played any last season. Is he decent? Was he out because of an unjury? What's the scoup on this guy?

I don't know if Josh Moore is injured but I have heard his coaches thought he was lazy.

Bring Georghe Muresan out of retirement :p

I like Chris Mihm or Bateer if we can sign them at a good price.

Save the $ for next season's free agents. Don't overpay for a scrubs like we have in the past.

What is sad is that we are soft on the inside. Yao is our only shot blocker.

I remember how much it hurt last season when Cato was injured.

Our inside defense was not that great last year and will be worse this season if we don't get someone tough who can rebound and block shots.

Oh well it wouldn't be the end of the world, but for us to improve this season we need another really solid inside player.

Adding TMac is a huge improvement, but not getting better on the frontline is a huge disadvantage.

Howard is a little better than Mo Tay, but not enough to make a big difference.
