Stack/Yonkers, When did you get the M5? If recently, did you consider the new CTS-V? That thing is going to be a beast.... (if GM doesn't croak... lol).
Here are a couple pics I took tonight. <table style="width:auto;"><tr><td><a href="http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/tstJ86oM0FfaROW4jJ2F4Q"><img src="http://lh5.ggpht.com/_uIigeY7ROGw/SRd8TSS4qXI/AAAAAAAAAbQ/A24Ms4zQ0dE/s144/IMG_0726.jpg" /></a></td></tr><tr><td style="font-family:arial,sans-serif; font-size:11px; text-align:right">From <a href="http://picasaweb.google.com/TrayHarrison/TheBeamer">The Beamer</a></td></tr></table> <table style="width:auto;"><tr><td><a href="http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/JKhWuRwx_Ugy3v-1XWKXUA"><img src="http://lh3.ggpht.com/_uIigeY7ROGw/SRd8Tus1RsI/AAAAAAAAAbY/7-Iwxdswhe0/s144/IMG_0723.jpg" /></a></td></tr><tr><td style="font-family:arial,sans-serif; font-size:11px; text-align:right">From <a href="http://picasaweb.google.com/TrayHarrison/TheBeamer">The Beamer</a></td></tr></table> <table style="width:auto;"><tr><td><a href="http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/erfynQ1qWP0tPyAIsE161g"><img src="http://lh6.ggpht.com/_uIigeY7ROGw/SRd8Tx-HT2I/AAAAAAAAAbg/YcCSUCuKbYM/s144/IMG_0724.jpg" /></a></td></tr><tr><td style="font-family:arial,sans-serif; font-size:11px; text-align:right">From <a href="http://picasaweb.google.com/TrayHarrison/TheBeamer">The Beamer</a></td></tr></table>
The white one looks ghetto. Yours is outright friggin' beautiful! Just plain sick looking. :thumbs up:
Perhaps a look into modern synthetic oil and filtration would give you guys some ammo to make up your own mind, without taking insults from others. http://www.bobistheoilguy.com/forums/ubbthreads.php 15k oil changes is fine in the BMW. I work on them for a living, and we don't see oil problems. The oil capacity on the newer cars is between 7 and 9 quarts. A good synthetic is required to go that long, and a newer, high quality oil filter will hold up. BMW recommends an annual oil change if the mileage is not reached in that time.
I got mine in May. The new CTS-V had not been announced yet at that time. I saw the ring times for that thing... it definitely will be a beast. In the end I doubt it would have a difference to me, since the M5 brings a lot of other things to the table - history, german engineering, leather dash, alcantara headliner, 12 mpg (oops... that's a bad thing), etc.
got it you're right oem is the way to go.. i put cls wheels on my e320.. i bet 7 series wheels will look good on a 5 series then drop it a bit..
Nice car! Are the lease rates on bmwusa.com accurate or do dealers try to scam you and bump up the monthly? Or can you find better deals? The rates on the website seem pretty reasonable
