If that is the case you should definitely be talking with your doctor and a dietician about this, not clutchfans.

When I start to feel/get fat..I go on the one meal a day plan.

Why tuna? Wouldn't exercising, no junk food and eating less be healthier?

if youre looking to lose weight you should be eating 4-5 well rounded meals a day in the appropriate caloric range for your height, target weight, sex and build.

If you're an average male this should be 4-5 400 calorie meals a day, with exercise at least three times a week. Cardiovascular exercise is your friend for cutting fat. However, you will also cut muscle if you do not put resistance training into your program. The more muscle you have, the more calories you burn. Limit carbs to complex carbs (whole grains) and try to keep the majority of them for post-workout refueling.

Staying on a strictly tuna diet is going to throw a wrench in your plans. You need fiber and protein from other sources. Further, if exercise is not working, change your routine. The body adapts to reptitive exercise. Instead of treadmill, try the spin bike, swimming, elliptical, etc. Or you could do intervals on the treadmill instead of long jogs, etc.

i'm no professional but a ALL anything diet is something i don't trust. I know Tuna is easy but still. Mix it up. Have some chicken or tofu (not my thing but still).

Also, like someone else mentioned, i would definitely work in some more veggies and be sure to get plenty of fiber. Maybe even try a fiber supplement.

you cannot eliminate an entire food group and call it a 'diet'

exercise, eat moderately, do not overindulge

I've already talked to doctors, basically lose junk food and limit hard alcohol. I learned after drinking everclear that it was the right choice since I thought was going to die. But thanks to everybody for the help.

    See "if"

and the sedentary average male requires 2000kcal a day to sustain themselves. Throw in exercise and he'll be losing weight.

Wow, that's phenomenal and inspirational! I've lost about 10 lbs in the last month and I'm about where you were at this point. I need to cut down the fat to see significant loss.

Anyway, I agree with the crew- mercury is bad for you.

At this point, I think your best bet is to try to amp up your metabolism. Keep eating the same stuff, just divide your meals up into six smaller portions a day. You're probably doing well on water-weight looking at your diet.

I'd also recommend some supplements if you feel you're plateauing on your workouts. Try either GNC Megamen (I like the energy version) or Animal Pak, which you can find at DPSnutrition.com (in fact, I recommend this site for all supplements- it's like the monoprice.com of supplements).

I think that if you keep working out and eating well, you're going to see that cut in a few months. You've only been going for a month or two. It takes time.

Good luck- you've really rocked this life-change so far.

Unless OP wants the same kind of man-boobs that Parcells has, I think he should stay away from him.

Don’t, tuna usually has a lot of toxins like mercury… pretty much all seafood. Limit your intake and find a better diet. Toxins actually hurt weight loss in the end. Try varying your diet more and do a detox of some sort to get rid of some of the junk your fat cells have absorbed.

also don't be afraid of carbs, just don't eat too many. Don’t eat a lot of white flour, wheat is better, and avoid fats and sweets. As long as you're watching your calories, working out, and not freaking your body out with JUST tuna and egg whites, then you'll lose more weight.
