    If he was a US Citizen and knew where his father was, he should have alerted the US government.

    It is a tragic event that collatoral damage happens like this, but at 16 he knew that his father was a hunted man.

    He wasn't killed as collateral damage when his father was killed.

    Also, what was he supposed to alert the US government to? Was his father an indicted fugitive from the law?

    But I did misread the original article, if it was as is reported (and that is up to debate), then there will need to be an inquisition and possibly some charges filed.

    I for one am SHOCKED, SHOCKED I SAY! that you didn't get the facts on the first read. But what do you mean an inquisition? Charges filed? This is a republic not a democracy! Executives can do whatever they want! Just learn to accept it, just like rape!

    This line of thinking is outrageous.

    If America decides, in secret, that you are a risk to american interests, America feels it has the right to "send in the drones" and take you out, no trial and no evidence needed. Judge. Jury. Executioner.

    If any other country thinks this way, they are a rogue element sponsoring terrorism.

    Alert him for what? The US knew where he was. That's why they bombed him. Also what's he going to alert him for? He wasn't breaking any laws at the time. He had no trial, etc...

    It's one thing to defend the Al-Awlaki assassination but to defend this is ridiculous. This is just way over the top and I am truly disappointed in the Obama administration. And to suggest that the burden was on him to "report" his father or face an assassination is unfathomable.
