Perhaps a little ironic it was Chicago where Craig Biggio's wife had some trouble with a rowdy fan - did he slap her? Everyone eating too many sausages with kraut - inflames the emotions I guess.
Davis didn't know what was going on. He probably flipped again once he found out what really happened
have you guys heard the other side? the guy (Axlerod) never got out of his seat. there's a video showing showing Davis's wife was teh aggressor. And from recent reports, Axlerod was never intoxicated. also, Davis's wife has had a history of being aggressive. two sides to every story.
I heard on espn from a chicago season ticket holder that she's very obnoxious, which is funny because he is quiet. and that she has a history of making a spectacle of herself. still doesn't excuse threatening her or whatever happened but yes there are two sides to every story. was that last season that someone threw beer on David Carr's wife? no excuse for that type of behavior.
I know the video only comes in close to the end of the "fight' but I would say she was the one going crazy.. Also, she and Davis are the ones calling him drunk when it LOOKS LIKE and he is saying he wasnt.. I say the courts figure this one out..
He says he is suing Antonio for $1 million - can anyone figure out if he has any cause for a lawsuit?
after hearing the new reports, i hope he gets every penny. AD made an accusation that wasn't true and it is slander. now Axlerod has been tagged as a drunk undeservedly when witnesses have said it was Davis's wife who escalated teh situation.
Exactly. $1 mill is a lot, but this guy was called a drunk repeatedly on national TV. He definitely has a case for slander. One article I read, however, said that he implied that a "public apology" would go a long way. I bet if AD apologizes at least for calling him a drunk, Axelrod will drop the suit. Trust me, the Axelrods don't need the money with the commission David Axelrod makes on media buys for his clients.
Now Davis's wife is saying it was because Axelrod was using curse words around her children, but the rest of the people sitting around the area are saying she is lying. Sounds like Mrs Davis is about to cost her husband a bit of money, and a she needs to eat a big dose of humble pie. DD
I can't blame Davis for going into the stands but it could have escalated into another Artest affair if it was a macho drunk fan that decided he wanted to take on someone 6'10" and 260. The league now needs to learn a lesson from this and have a restricted area for players wives and parents and security staff protecting the restricted area, hell let them watch the game on TV in a dedicated room in the stadium there would never be an incident if they did that.
I haven't seen the incident, only read about it. I do know that it takes two hands to clap, so the guy had to have some blame in the situation. This Axelrod is exactly what is wrong with America. Someone calls you a name and you want one million dollars? If that makes you a millionaire I think a lot of us should have several million on our hands. I hope that the Davis's counter sue him and the whole thing gets dropped.
