I don't think AD is worth the MLE. Clearly the Wizards will not be as good this year. I'm happy for him getting his money because he plays the game the "right" way.
what is even funnier.....is that the reason why the Lakers are doing that is to have cap space to get Yao or Amare... Screwing yourself in the hope that the ROckets or the Suns are stupid enough to not extend their franchise players?? Is Mitch truely *this* stupid? Here is some news for ya Lakers....Yao WILL be resigned...and I refuse to believe that the Suns wont do the same for Amare... Oh well...whatever works to keep the fabled Lakers mired in mediocrity works for me. The other funny thing....Lakers fans are convinced that Kwame is gonna miraculously turn into a great player just cause he came to the Lakers. Keep dreaming guys...maybe one day Kobe will become a great team player that everyone loves.
Yup! The Lakers and their fans have this sense of "entitlement" that really pisses me off. Like because they are LA all the FAs will want to play there. That that team is the ultimate destination. I am looking forward to Yao and Amare signing those extensions this summer so we can end all of this talk about them leaving.
Gotta admit, I only thought of three thigns when I saw this yesterday: 1. Whoa; didn't see that coming at all. The Wizards? 2. That's going to be an awfully small team - every single position except the point will be undersized (Haywood-Jamison-Butler-Daniels-Arenas). 3. I'm happy that no rival teams got dangerous by getting him (Cavs, Heat, Lakers, Spurs). He could have seriously made the difference on some squads. Thankfully, I have zero fear of Washington. Evan
I'd have liked for the Rockets to finally get Daniels, but Swift is probably a better use of the MLE (if that's what he ends up signing for).
