He is 21. It took Jermaine O'Neal 5 years of sitting on the bench until he did anything worth while. Hell, Look at Dorrell Wright and Beasley. He is 21. He is 21. He is 21.
Age isnt relevant, number of years spent learning the game is. If he hasnt "gotten it" by now, when will he? You thinking being the 10th guy on our depth chart is going to help him develop? You want to be paying him a huge salary to develop on our bench for 3 years. I dont think he gets any significant playing time here.
Age is relevant, because you need to be older than 21 to have "spent years learning the game." Your argument is obtuse.
He has been in the league for 3 years. I don't care how old he is. I ask you flat out, how much time does someone get before its just not worth it anymore?
He is another Morey player. Which isnt saying much. Role player at best. Morey would probably trade Luis Scola to get him and make us worse.
Depends. They say big men do not hit their stride until they are 25... Some guys always have it, but just need to be in the right situation to flourish. You want a prime example? Check these out... http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/w/wallage01.html
It took Kobe 4 years before he did anything except p!$$ off the vets & another 2 years before he learned the "team basketball" concept. This is his junior year of college basically. What do you expect out of a college junior who has only played the run & gun game?
For the Randolph fans you may get your wish to see him in Houston. Supposedly Morey is pitching that no-brainer trade to send back the Knicks 2012 pick for Randolph. http://realgm.com/src_wiretap_archi...t_pick_for_randolph_to_use_in_trade_for_melo/
Some of you guys just don't get it. Yes, his numbers look awful this year. Did any of you really think he was going into a situation that would do him any good? D'Antoni's a p***k. A well-paid p***k, but a p***k nonetheless. When reporters cornerned him in the hallway last February after The Trade, he basically threw Jordan Hill under the bus. Never even played the guy and said he wasn't a good player. So why would he care to play Anthony Randolph when he has his veterans? But if Anthony Randolph is going to turn into anything, he needs a trade damn quick. And what a surprise. We're after him. To keep or to trade, who knows. We already have so many power forwards.
If he can't get playing time on the Warriors and Knicks for crying out loud, something's wrong with him man. Coaches, more than anything, want to win, and there's something about Randolph that impedes their ability to win ... and that's coming from the two loosest teams in the league.
He's exagerrating. It's like saying a new employee has 1 year experience on their hire date. Randolph 12/10/08 0 yr 6 weeks exp 12/10/09 1 yr 6 weeks exp 12/10/10 2 yr 6 weeks exp
Randolph possibly to the Rockets to help Knicks with Melo trade. http://nba-facts-and-rumors.blogs.cbssports.com/mcc/blogs/entry/22748484/26362170
Randolph still has potential and has a great ability to be a nice player for someone. Might not be with the Knicks, but I do not think I am ready to sell him short, yet even with the sour attitude about being benched. For some reason, I did not think he would start with the Knicks anyway. He needs to be on a team that has a strong, reliable center, like Orlando; Milwaukee; or Memphis. He's athleticism and size would compliment a well-rounded center even more.
He is a knucklehead, but one with physical talent, not sure he has the mental capacity to ever make it though. DD
