    I like that pick-up. Brewer's a solid defender.

    I love trade deadline week.

Oh OK. So Brewer to NY. Makes sense for NY. Minny needs a true SG now. Johnson is a natural SF and is struggling at SG. Webster keeps getting injured. They should have traded Telfair and Brewer to Grizzlies for Mayo.

But where would Randolph play for Minny? Love, Pekovic and Milicic clog up 4 and 5. Beasley and Johnson can both play SF. Tolliver hs been OK backing up the 4. Interesting options/dilemmas for Rambis.

I was seriously worried that someone just landed Steph Curry.

Trade Battier to Boston for Jermaine, Bradley, and their 2011 #1. Trade Brooks and the pick swap to Minny for Rubio and Randolph.

The first part of that, I can see happening. Boston can't risk its chance on another title by quibbling over a pick likely to be no better than #27 and a player who won't make their rotation for years, and flushing Jermaine O'Neal makes sense.

The second part? Rubio still has his suitors. He'd be an instant hit with the local Spanish-speaking population (okay, okay, so he'd be speaking Castillan Spanish). Probably Brooks + Williams OR Brooks + NY 2012 1st rounder.

    Crap traded for crap.

I'm just glad we didn't end up getting Randolph.
