That is very true. I worked in SJ for a year and went to a couple of Warriors games. It's a much better atmosphere for basketball than Toyota Center (not like that means much).
2007 Vegas Summer League - he scored 42 points in 27 minutes. He put up 26 shots in 27 minutes. Jesus. lol. He averaged 24.2 PPG, 53.7% FG, 44% 3P% in 26.8 MPG. http://www.nba.com/summerleague2007/players/index.jsp?player=von_wafer
Dang! I didn't know that. No wonder DD and others are high on this guy having good potential to last in the NBA. His numbers are just as impressive/convincing as Chase Budinger's.
There are lots of people you probably know as bench fodder or worse that score 20+. I think Marco Belinelli went off for close to 40 in the same summer league. Our own Donte Greene went off for 40. Alando Tucker averages 20-25 ppg in these leagues. Lots of guys with potential who may or may never do anything big in the NBA.
Who? Morrow? He was a 14ppg guy in last year's Vegas league. But what I was saying is that you'll see guys going off for 20, 30, or 40 points and during thes leagues, but against real competition, they'll average 8-10 points and be a career role player or borderline starter. That's not to say they'll suck or won't suck - just that it's tough to tell based upon summer league competition.
