ESPN article today that mentions almost every contender under the sun as a potential landing place for AD, except for the Rockets. Morey is a genius at conjuring up assets as we saw from the Harden and Paul trades and all the moves prior that were required to be positioned to make those deals happen. So two questions: 1. Should the Rockets even pursue AD 2. What could Morey offer that would realistically get the Rockets in the discussion My take: 1. If you can get a talent like AD, you have to go for it. 2. 4 first round picks + Ego + Capela
That offer isn't very good. If AD wants out then there are a bunch of teams that can offer more. AD would have to demand to be traded to Houston for some reason.
He getting traded out east. I mean under no circumstances would i trade him to the west. Like why do gms help out teams in thier own conference. Sliver should veto anything that doesnt send him east
Maybe we should RAID THE PANTRY when he leaves Mirotic is expiring this year PErhaps Julian Randle (Will expire never year) Rocket River
Randle expires never? I mean he has looked pretty good this year but I'm just not sure if I am ready for that level of commitment
The fact that they mention the Spurs (a team with literally zero asset) and not us when we're openly after a star more than anyone else is pretty ridiculous but whatever, i don't think we can get it done anyway ... Spoiler ...which is good cause maybe it means we have a chance lol
Thing is I don’t think the lakers offer much. That cocky organization thinks they can get everyone handed to them for pennies. They think they’ll have the leverage of just being patient signing him as a free agent, but NO can say okay. Let’s see if you can wait that long with LeBron aging. Ainge is also kind of frugal with his assets and only wants to do one sided trades. Capela, EGO and 4 firsts certainly isn’t horrible imo compared to one half decent young player and filler and maybe 1 low future first round pick instead of our 4 that I think lakers or celtics will try and deal. Lakers won’t give up Kuzma. They won’t give up Ingram and ball together. One of them on their own is pretty meh imo. They’re nice players but with many glaring weaknesses and no guarantee they’ll turn out to even lower tier all star players. Same with Boston. Ainge won’t trade Tatum. Is one Jaylen Brown or Rozier worth it? If I’m NO, I don’t trade him at all and tell him you have your super max here or you can lose money and leave in free agency and they start over and tank for the next big prospect instead of some players that will keep them floating around 9th to 10th seed. They have other players they can trade for assets in the tank/rebuild too and their future could be very bright with 2 really good drafts.
The only person that really walked away . . . . without the team getting anything I think is KD . . mainly because he seemed open to screwing his old team and maintaining the new team So I don't think the Lakers will outright sign AD I think some kind of sign and trade happens Teams just don't let people walk Rocket River
Of course we should be interested lol Trade capela to charlotte for 2 1st rd picks. Send ego to philly for a 1st. Those 3 1sts and all 4 of our 1sts is about the only package even remotely possible.
I think your trade proposal is reasonable Harden and Davis with a bunch of young cheap defenders and a aging vet leader in CP3 would be top 3 team for the foreseeable future.
