The last offer had only two firsts and who knows what protections they had. For all we know they could be lottery protected.

I am in no way thinking that we should ever do something as dumb as trading Harden, but this AD saga does have me wondering just how much teams would be willing to give up for him in a trade...idiotic casual fans and Harden haters would be shocked to see what their GM would do in order to acquire him

The only satisfaction I will get on us not getting AD would be seeing the Lakers not get him either. Lakers don't deserve him.

 

The Lakers are desperate cause they probably know Durant and Kawhi are not going to L.A, not on their team at least. If they can't get Davis, they will be forced to max guys like Thompson or Kemba, assuming they'll be available of course.

 

I wouldn't mind us giving Thompson a nice counter offer. How sweet it would be to have an elite 3PT shooter with our style of play.

 

Would be sweet but we just can't go after that kind of player, unless we can do a sign&trade which is obviously not happening with the Warriors.

 

How about capella 3 firsts unprotected, 2 seconds, capella, house, Hart, clark, and any other expiring and eat one of their bad contracts?

 

Damn, even I would have accepted that offer. At least Magic wasn't screwing around as he did with PG/JB/KL. If that offer is real then I doubt NO gets anything better this coming summer. Will Boston offer Tatum, Brown, Rosier, Ojele and the kings + grizz pick this summer? That's quite the gamble.

 

Man, I wonder what kind of offers NO is expecting in the summer if they turned that package down? Boston isn't going to break open the piggy bank like LA will. Kyrie might even leave. If Kawhi leaves Toronto the Raptors might not be in the market for him either. If they want to strike while the iron is hot this might be the time.

It's very simple, Demps has told the Lakers we will trade him to you but you have to pay the collusion tax. All your firsts and seconds too and arrange to send Ball someplace. You and LBJ stole our future so we get yours. You have the ability in the offseason to get a 3rd star and scratch together a team of minimums. You have to make this trade now and we know it. You made this bed, lie in it. We can hold onto AD and make his life miserable and send him wherever we want. Someone will trade for him and you will destroy the remainder of LBJ's career. No one will join him without AD. You have no choice.
