    What team gives up a 1st and expiring for Gordon. Last year, sure. This year his stas are garbage and he lost a lot of trade value.

    Well that’s big news right before the deadline. I wonder if Washington wants to “blow it up”now? This may give Morey even more options before the deadline.

    Pels are in the driver's seat and they know it. This may backfire on them in the summer (though probably not). This is why you put your disgruntled superstar on the market when you still have him wrapped up for another 1.5 years. Somebody is going to overpay to get him, whether it's Magic Pelinka or someone else.

    Morey needs to get in on this. Get KCP, send Knight and a 1st to the Pelicans. Get off of ‘20 money and get a usable 3/D wing for a late 1st.

    If I was the Pelicans, I don't want to help the Lakers what so ever. But no matter what the pelicans do it will hurt the Lakers.

    If the pelicans don't trade with Lakers this season
    -Chances of winning a championship are still low
    -Waste Lebron's prime

    If the pelicans trade with Lakers
    -Leave them with no core players.
    -Lowers their chance of winning a championship due to weak core and no reliable bench players.
    -Chances for both stars to be susceptible to injuries due to high playing time.
