Anthony Davis suffered a severely sprained ankle during a workout on Sunday with the Hornets. Davis will almost certainly be unable to play for Team USA due to the injury. Read more: http://basketball.realgm.com/wireta...Sprained_Ankle_Out_For_Team_USA#ixzz1zUGZQ3of
With the way Houston's luck is going, Davis will be out for the season and the Hornets will get the top pick again next year and have an incredible team. In all seriousness, I wish him a speedy recovery. As much as I hate having to fave him 5 times a year, I look forward to following his career.
That could be a blessing in disguise for Hornets fans. Now he'll be fully rested and ready to rock for the season. But, it would have been exciting to see him play in Red, White, and Blue.
That maybe good news for him since he doesn't have to burn himself out in the summer before going into a long NBA season for the first time.
Hornets fans are currently biting their nails in anxiety. What if Davis turns out to be the next Greg Oden. LOL. (I know its just a sprained ankle lol)
Eh, I honestly think it'd be good for him to play at the next level...before playing at the next level, lol. Any experience is good. Besides, he's 19. Not 38. Any burn is good burn, at this point.
I hope he takes it easy and fully recovers before trying to play again. Was really looking forward to seeing if he would play in Summer League. New Orleans vs Portland would be a heavyweight match up lol.
Anyone else starting to get concerned about Team USA? Davis joins a growing injured list that includes Dwight Howard, Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh, LaMarcus Aldridge and Derrick Rose. I know the US still has the best players in the world, but that's a pretty imposing five-some to be out of action. The gold medal may not be a sure thing.
I wonder how many of these superstars claim injury just to avoid people criticizing them for skipping the Olympics.
Hope he gets better soon. I rarely watch college hoops, so im really looking forward to see this guy play.
Outside of Chandler, team USA doesn't have any defensive bigs. Only other possibility I can think of is Derrick Favors...
