From what I see he can shoot the 3 and is at 46bpercent from 3 in g league. This video shows he can put the ball on the floor for a big man and can finish at the rim. Don't know if it's due to losing weight, better basketball IQ, worked harder on improving his game or if his mentality is now back in the game. Regardless if he can shoot the wide open 3 anywhere near what he is doing in g league he will flourish with the rockets if he adds anything else to contribute it would just be gravy. Now that rockets signed him I'm sure he knows this is his moment to shine and I'm sure he is aware by know he will never get another chance to stay in the NBA like now. Players like Royce white learned the hard way that you only get so many chances. Smart move by rockets signing him for 1 year contract. Low risk and super high reward possibilities for Rockets
I'm not expecting much. Don't think he can defend well enough to get on the court. Think it was a risk worth taking …. nonguaranteed contract. Team cant lose.
Not expecting much either but we need three point shooters and Kyle Korver can't defend and he was mentioned as potential target . not really sure if this guy has improved defensively.
His draft outlook before being picked showed the potential he never reached. https://www.nbadraft.net/players/anthony-bennett
same here. good to have another shooter to invite to camp. plays a position we need depth in. also insurance if we add clark into a trade with the other NG guys. I'm thinking he's probably similar to clark's level of production. 3rd string, good season depth, shouldn't get minutes unless injuries.
He’s better thank Hartenstein, Jo Chi, deyonte, and Edwards...even with his bust label. Throw em in the mix!
Anthony Bennett is so peculiar now. The fact that a #1 pick so obviously and immediately busted and has just been floating around for the past 5 years is such a rarity.
Too bad we didn't get him earlier to see him in summer league. If he makes it to preseason those would be very good minutes he can play to see what he has.
Because he was drafted number 1 overall a few years ago. Number 1 picks usually have very long productive if not stellar NBA careers.
Or because the guy's name is Anthony Bennett On topic, i can't vote cause i needed an option like "i have zero expectations but it's worth a try".
I'm going to keep my expectations low, like real low I ain't drinking that holic koolaid, the same drin that spit out Uthoff, Josh Harrellson, Zhou Qi etc as game changers
