Aldrich had a EFF of +9 that game, basically the worst of any Kings that had significant minutes. (2 pat however, had one of the highest. he was really REALLY good that game.) Also, the Bulls are one of those team where sticking a random tall guy inside have a surprisingly postive effect on them. I'm more intrigued by Patterson's starting to grab a bit more boards in Sac town , Aldrich probably would be playing in China next year or something.
Aldrich was never good at anything. Patterson, dude can rebound if he put his mind to it, he had a double double against NOH and Warriors this year. His slumps were from a lack of effort and not buying into the system.
Our PF's don't rebound primarily because we use them for spacing or running the fast break. That and they play next to Omer Asik (godlike rebounder), Lin, Parsons, and Harden, who are all above average re-bounders.
Don't cry over spilled Aldrich . Greg Smith plays well occasionally too. Suns game on Wed. was the bet he's looked all season in my opinion.
I like Aldrich more then Greg Smith but Motiejunas, T. Robinson and Asik all are more talented big men. No regret on that trade, save it shows that Morey's Power Forward draft obsessions in drafting Morris and by extension Terrance Jones and Royce White are wasted picks.
