    hey rockHEAD

How do you like these two? I'm a huge Frank Black fan. On my ipod I have all the pixies albums and all the solo & the catholics stuff as well as many live bootleg recordings.

Those are the two Frank Black albums that he released on the same day, right?

The guy is insane. I love him, and I know he's recording everything these days live to two-track with no edits, so he can get a lot of material out there quickly. He might beat Frank Zappa's level of prolific output.

It's only been a year since A Dog in the Sand and Oddballs came out.(I know Oddballs wasn't new recordings but still.) Now two full length albums on the same day.

What does anyone have to say about the new stuff?

Current obsessions: the Badly Drawn Boy soundtrack to About a Boy ('ip-so, fac-to'); the Flaming Lips album, particularly 'Do You Realize?' (how can he make you feel so hopeful by singing 'do you realize that someday everyone you know will die?' Weird); and those White Album demos. 'Junk' is so pretty it hurts.

At work, the librarians physically need to listen to Weezer's Maladroit several times a week, or we will go insane. Also consistently popular: Queens of the Stone Age, the Hives, and the White Stripes.

I should get Quality Control. Every Jurassic 5 track I've ever heard is really cool. Hrm.

I have a classic CD in right now (at least classic to me) in "Semantic Spaces" by Delerium.

If you love techno and Enigma, then you will love Delerium!

    Bill Leeb is a God!

You guys all heard that Jurassic 5 song "what's golden?" i'm lovin it. i got the quality control cd too. If you like J5...then check out Swollen Members and Dilated Peoples (J5's guys are on sum of their songs)...they're rad groups.

Swollen Members are huge up here in Vancouver, cuz their a local group. They're now pretty big throughout the whole country, but i was listenin to them when they were underground. You guys heard of them? They got a new cd coming out in just over a week (monsters in the closet)...but i recommend their other 2 cd's too (balance and bad dreams).
