lol what are you smoking, maybe prime jordan can put up a fight against LBJ, but LBJ will probably win anyway, 39 year old jordan? really? kwame brown can probably kick jordan's ass now
lol. Ask yourself who has a better chance of making a defensive stop on the other? 1 on 1, Jordan > Kobe > LBJ.
This is not a knock on you or insult in any way but I'm gonna guess that you're somewhere in the age range of 18-25 or you simply haven't been a basketball fan for very long. Joe Johnson? Deron Williams? Carmelo?! LOL Are you kidding me? These guys couldn't even crack the top 20 best in any of the few different era's that Jordan played in. The NBA may seem like it has more talented players or so called superstars now days because they have BIG NAMES due to all the media, publicity, flashing lights, ice, fancy cars, video games, commercials, technology what have you but hypothetically speaking if we were to have an 80's Allstar's vs 90's All star's vs. 00's All Stars I can guarantee you that both the 80's and 90's all stars would DESTROY this generation of so called stars. The true superstars aka legends back then also put up huge numbers over the course of many, many, MANY seasons. Sure Deron Williams may look good but he's only played 3 years. Same for CP3. A player like Melo is nothing more than a Glenn "big dawg" Robinson from back in the day. Joe Johnson is nothing more than Jerry Stackhouse in his younger days and I'm being extremely generous to Joe with that comparison. Just take a look at how easily a career can go south and so called superstars can be forgotten. For simplicity our very own Tracy Mcgrady and even our once beloved Steve Francis. I remember one of those players drew many unfair comparisons to Jordan. The other one was often compared to Isiah Thomas with extreme hops. Where are they at now? Where will they be remembered in 10 years from now? The point is the NBA may seem to have more talented guys today but that couldn't be further from the truth. There's a lot of FAKE Superstars/stars today. It's come to the point where the term Superstar is thrown out so freely that it's beyond a point of absurdity. Out of all the players from the late 90's and beyond there's only a handful of truly great dominant players that will go down in history as legends and those are Tim Duncan, KG and Kobe Bryant. As of now LBJ, Dwade and Dwight Howard are definitely on the right track but after that everyone else is either too young so there's not a large enough sample size i.e. CP3, Durant, Dwilliams, Roy etc or they're fake superstars i.e. Amare, Dirk, Joe Johnson, Vince Carter, Melo, Arenas etc. I bet players in the early-mid 90's who don't get the credit they deserve such as Kevin Johnson, Tim Hardaway, Joe Dumars, Mitch Richmond, Tom Chambers, Chris Mullin, Mark Price etc... would absolutely kill to play in the league today. If you youngsters only knew. And just for the record of how you say Jordan was a man among boys apart from a select few? That's absolutely true. Not because the competition was "weak" from what you called the select few but because that's just how GREAT JORDAN was. I guarantee you that any one these teams that lost to Jordan and the Bulls in the 90's (Lakers, Blazers, Suns, Sonics, Jazz 2x) would easily win a ring in today's NBA finals.
Wade is sick... but speaking of the Heat.. http://espn.go.com/nba/players/profile?playerId=2763 What is a GF position? Luther Head is listed as one...
I know you're a big Kobe fan. I would also agree that Kobe is a better player than Wade. But this is one of the most ridiculous basketball-related statements I have ever heard. Congrats, this is THE most ridiculous basketball-related statement I have ever seen on Clutchfans. Two players who put up worse numbers than Jordan in a more watered down era are both better players despite the fact that neither has led his team to a championship?
I thought that was G/F... not GF. Maybe it stands for girlfriend. Seems like a good position for Luther
damn dude, you were the busdriver on this one cause you took this kid to school. yeah it doesn't matter how old you are, you can't throw the past under the rug. look at baseball, now we find out that all these dudes who were breaking records were on roids. look at clemens. he was on roids and he still can't touch Nolan Ryan's strike out record. I didn't see Oscar Robertson or a young Lew Alcindor play (Kareem), so I'm careful when I compare players until I see them play on ESPN Classics or NBATV. Magic Johnson was asked if Wilt Chamberlain would rule in the 80s, he told a reporter an old Wilt Chamberlain played a pickup game in practice with some other NBA players and he totally dominated them. I may criticize the Bulls/MJ vs the Rockets/Maxwell, but I never defer his greatness, it shows how great Hakeem and the Rockets were on D. LeBron, Dwade, Kobe, who do you think was their idol? MJ. There is a reason for that. Dream in that workout session with Yao looks like he could still drop 20 points a night.
lol you don't know what you're talking about and your sig confirms that who has better stats this year ? Wade is averaging more points, assists, and steals. He also has a higher fg %. call me when Kobe wins a ring without a dominant Shaq
uci and ImmortalK24 have to be the same person. There simply can't be that much stupidity and ignorance in one town. But then again, it is LA
