Notice the race of the individual arrested -- would this thread have even been started if the player was white? Telling.
My understanding is that those guys had their scholarships revoked and were dismissed from the team. I think the point that the OP was trying to make is that this is pretty commonplace in Austin. The fact is that if it happens at all then it happens too much. Playing college football is not a right, it is a privilege. It is a privilege that should be revoked if you cannot keep your butt out of jail.
Way to allude to racism where there aren't facts that support that allegation. Notice only one person brought up race in this thread. Telling.
Oh noes! Here comes the legion of t-shirt UT fans to the rescue. If you're going to just randomly pick a school to cheer for, at least pick a respectable one, brah
You are so close, brother. Admiting you love UT is just the first step in a journey that will forever change your life. Major and I will be happy to take you to your first game as a full-fledged Horns fan. We will show you how happy you can be, T-shirt or no, wearing Burnt Orange. Your willingness to start this journey is truly inspirational.
So what fan are you? Just throwing this out, A&M had that controversy last year about the Franchokie and the $$ magazine thing
You ignore the fact that several Longhorn players are arrested each day, many of whom are white -- we never see those threads -- surprise, surprise...
Several Longhorn players are arrested each day?????? Oh, damn....that is funny. I really hope you are making a joke. You might not want to say anything that ridiculous in public.
He has to be close right? I mean, look at his BBS moniker. It SCREAMS Texas fan. That's a moniker a Texas Longhorn fan would choose, no doubt. I bet if you take 100 rookies here on the BBS who obviously do not know bigtexxx and asked them if he was a Longhorns fan, 75% would have to say yes.
Yet you continue to focus on players of different ethnic backgrounds -- you can't have it both ways refman.
He's definitely suspended for the UTEP game. More games could be possible depending on the result of the charges.
Well, I guess he doesn't see it reported in the "local" papers, oh wait... http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=3564339
Sounds like Austin's got a discipline problem . . . . Maybe that's why we beat them in football nearly half the time . . . .
