    look up the 2004-05 playoffs.

he did. we didn't. game 7, we got destroyed. but we didn't.

if Yao averages 30pts in a playoff series... that's another thread right there.

why is that? I wish the Rockets make it out of the first round regardless if it was Tmac, Ron Artest, Steve Francis, Sam Mack, Von Wafer, Cuttino Mobley

Why do you think this scenario could not happen?

Hey we didn't have Yao last year, did you wish we didn't make it out of the first round without Yao?

if you're a true rocket fan, you don't care who plays for this team.

if tracy is hurt this year when the playoffs start, it'd be stupid to cheer for them to lose. just like when yao was out last yr, everybody still watched the games and hope the team wins.

if ron, tracy, and yao are all out, real rocket fans would still watch hoping for a miracle.

you play to win, not for a player to do well. anybody who play a lick of sport know that.

hey some people watch the laker's for kobe and they don't care about the success of the Lakers, they just want to watch his individual performance.

i believe it happens even for the Rockets. the nba does market their players more than the team.

i watch the lakers to see kobe. i watch the cavs to see lebron. and i'm sure some watch the rockets for tracy. i'm sure a lot of guys watch hakeem just for him b/c he was so freakin' great. but those guys don't root for those teams. they just like watching great players. you gotta understand that tinman.

but at the end of the day, if the rockets are your team, you should cheer for them regardless of who's playing. after decades of losing, it shouldn't matter who is playing. the team needs freakin' series win real quick.

Huh, how about T-Mac helps the Rockets to a first round victory? I understand some posters may have made you red in the face (Rocket red of course, cause that's what you bleed), but calm down. They're just fans, as are you (albeit with a lighter shade of red running through their veins). No need to go to extremes to prove a point, tinman.

this is the stupidest thread ive ever read on this site. stupid stupid stupid. it makes me sick.

what kinda choices are those? so you would want Tmac to get injured so that he wont play because you believe he's a detriment to the team's playoff success? seriously? you want a player to get injured? are you praying hard that he gets injured? damn.

as for the second option, you want tmac to average good numbers but have the rockets lose just because you want tmac to continue being that guy that always gets booted out of the first round, and youd sacrifice the team's successes just to prove you're right? that this team is going nowhere with tmac on it, even if he plays good?

seriously? wtf is wrong with you?

you don't think this could happen? guess what happened last year?
yao didn't make it to the playoffs.

is it far fetched to think that tmac would be hurt? oh no. not possible!

is it far fetched to think we can get passed the first round without him?
    oh no, not possible!

i guess these are impossible situations i put up on here. whoa is me who thinks tmac could be hurt.
