I'll take any actual report over the unsupported allegation you made.

Not according to agencies that investigated it, which included not only Commerce, but also the House Oversight Committee, run by Republicans. You might know this, but you seem to choose to consume your "information" from the mouths of Fox pundits rather than actually reading the reports which detail facts and evidence behind the allegations.

It shouldn't be acceptable for a "News" agency to broadcast out and out lies, but you've bought that BS hook, line, and sinker.

Not particularly, but I do defend facts and evidence. The facts and evidence show that our unemployment rate continues to go down. You're welcome to parrot the liars about participation rate and census surveys, but all that makes you is a parrot who believes liars.

Note that I haven't defended any of Obama's lies. The obvious difference is that the lies you've brought up here are off topic. On the topic of unemployment and the economy, it is you who believes liars.

I had read that it's the best since the early 90s.

"Unemployment has dropped to 5.4%, but the real number is actually much higher if you hate Obama."

At 5.4% aren't we pretty much at full employment?

The definition of full employment is all the people who wants a job can get a job.

Which means there are some people who don't work but don't want to work either, and that number if different than the U4 rate which is reported here. I don't think it's the U6 number either.

have they changed the way they compile these numbers in the last 20-30 years? or is the u4 and u6 numbers different methods they have created over time?

I think they do have the definition of unemployment = the rate of unemployment at which the inflation rate stays constant and I've seen a rate of 5.7 % mentioned.
What I am not sure is if they mean U4, U6 or something else.

Payrolls disaster. Zero wage growth. August number revised much lower.

    http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2015-...september-zero-wage-growth-august-revised-muc

And so the "most important payrolls number" at least until the October FOMC meeting when the Fed will once again do nothing because suddenly the US is staring recession in the face, is in the history books, and as previewed earlier today, at 142K it was a total disaster, 60K below the consensus and below the lowest estimate.

Just as bad, the August print was also revised far lower from 173K to 136K. And while it is less followed, the household survey was an unmitigated disaster, with 236,000 jobs lost in September.

I think the downturn in the oil and gas industry from low oil prices is having a bigger overall impact on the jobs/economic numbers than a lot of "experts" predicted. I'm not sure everyone realized the oil and gas economic impact to jobs that are only tangentially related to O&G.

yes, statistically speaking - 5% is considered full employment

however, as some have eluded to, this measure is significantly flawed given the data omitted from the total

    still a strong number though

"a strong number"? uh, no. It was well below expectations and is considered a miss

Obama's lazy approach to jobs is now bearing fruit -- and by fruit I mean the shriveled, flavorless kind. He tried to outsource job creation to the Federal Reserve, instead of rolling up his sleeves and working with Congress to foster job creation. The wage growth in particular has been disgusting -- America deserves better.

ya this congress seems pretty determined to get a lot of things done... but first they MUST defund planned parenthood! can't engage in meaningful economic policy discussions until that happens.
