Normally i wouldn't think this was a suspension(even tough it is obvious that is was intentional). I do think that he should have been ejected from that game. But since this is the third time he has hit a opponent in hte face i think he should be suspended.
Maybe he really does hate white people. He must be mad at P-Jax, so he is projecting his anger on to the white players on the court.
wow - again!! He is not getting the message from the league. I say 2 games. at $160K a game that is $320K
If what he did before got a suspension, then this is definitely a 2-3 game suspension. This elbow was clearly intentional. That is what a "non-basketball motion" is. Those others blows were just attempts to draw a foul.
Come on people. Kobe did not intentionally bring his elbow up into Korver's face. In fact, Kobe runs around throwing his elbows above the level of his own head all the time. That's obviously the fastest way to run, watch the Olympics morons. BTW, Kobe is one of the nicest, most humble people on earth. Here's the problem. Korver should not have been looking directly at Kobe. It's rude, inconsiderate, and he's just putting his face out there like a bullseye. Second, he shouln't have put his head in the path of Kobe's arm. Just like Kobe's natural motion is to throw left jabs when taking a jump shot, he needs to flail his arms in everything he does. It's not under his control! Kobe should not be held personally accountable for any of his actions. So what, this is the 3rd incident? This is just further proof how he is NOT doing it on purpose. The NBA should be sympathetic to Kobe's 'flailing arm' disease. (This message brought to you by Kobe apologists and the committee for people easily fooled by public personalities. BTW, OJ Simpson is a stand up citizen! Get over it people!)
An attempt to draw a foul (i.e. a flop) is also a "non-basketball motion." Unless you're for legitimizing flops.
He should get 2 games min after the two previous and highly similar elbows to the face. Send this punk a message.
I honestly hope he gets some kind of punishment for this. It's very obvious he was frustrated and intentionally swung his elbow up to tell Korver get out of my face while he was defending him. You can see how upset he is that he didn't get a call after the play is over. He's just losing his cool and definitly needs to be taught a lesson.
i'm not an apologist, just a realist, who happened to agree with both of the guys he actually elbowed that it wasn't intentional and that he was just flailing to draw a foul. how crazy of me. in this case, that clearly wasn't what he was doing and it's obvious he meant to swing his elbow at korver b/c korver kept getting up on him. suspension worthy? i don't know. the nba will figure that out. but this one was obviously a completely different situation than the first two, one where you would actually have time to think about what you're doing and know where the guy is that your arm is hitting. i just calls 'em likes i sees 'em and don't have some set in stone reaction to all situations before they even happen.
Then Ginobili would play 15 games a year in that case. But if these are gonna be the rules, then suspend a player who while in the act of flopping strikes an opposing player above the neck.
That looked way more intentional than the other incidents. I'd love to see him get suspended. He's one of the few NBA players I can't stand.
That's enough of a pop to cause a fight, depending on who the player would be. Play like that needs to be stopped, so some form of punishment is needed.
