Nah, they like NRA money too much. Besides, they take strict precautions to ensure nobody carries guns to their rallies. They look after Numero uno! Nobody else.
Cost of living has gone crazy (especially cost of housing). Canada has a housing bubble that is orders of magnitude larger than the US. Here in Toronto, you can't even buy a townhome for less than a million dollars. In addition to the crazy cost of living, in a lot of industries (like tech for example), the pay in Canada is 30-40% lower than the US. So people here deal with higher housing prices and lower salaries which creates a cost of living nightmare if you didn't buy a house 5+ years ago. There's a lot of fear here that the scale of mortgage debt in Canada might cause a huge recession.
@pgabriel was right about parenting @Os Trigonum @AroundTheWorld https://www.bbc.com/news/live/world-us-canada-61576584 Neighbour says gunman had 'rough life' at home CBS News, the BBC's US partner, has spoken with the school shooter's neighbour of 17 years. Ruben Flores, 41, said the teen had been coming over to his house since the fifth grade - when he was about 10 or 11 years old - to play with his son. “He was quiet and, from what I could see, the mother never really showed love. He had a rough life,” Flores told CBS. But, by the age of 14 or 15, the boy stopped coming over. His behaviour had changed and he seemed to have become "an outcast in school", according to Flores. “It was hard to carry a conversation with him. He seemed really frustrated at times.” Flores said the teen had moved in with his grandma about two months ago, alleging that the boy's mother had a drug habit that had spiralled.
shitty parents. Usually a primary reason. Also being socially ignored or bullied or of course physically bullied. Shitty parents and/or cruel peers are usually the culprit(s).
Abbott and Dan Patrick are on TV pretending to care about this massacre. Screw both of these guys. This much we know, they WILL NOT accept any blame for making it easier for this guy to purchase or to possess the weapons used in this crime. Abbott is a horrible person.
Helps explain his mental state. Didn't statistics show abusive parents were abused as kids? Hard to find that in a background check for sure.
You sure twist the story to fit your GOP defense. The hatred is directed at the politicians who turn a blind eye to the shooting and killing of these kids and go speak at an NRA convention to get their bloody NRA money. Just because they are white doesn't have anything to do with their mindset when it comes to supporting the NRA. And yes....there have been many instances of people holding signs saying Blacks for Trump on front rows of rallies as a photo gimmick. They have also been paid to show up at his rallies. Your anger should be over the callousness of them not cancelling their appearances at that convention, and not on the ones speaking out about it. Then again, you like when people who speak against stuff are stereotyped as wokesters. Don't be a hypocrite.
Too bad Texas is ranked 45th in the nation in mental healthcare. Our politicians don't care about free or affordable healthcare or taking care of the mentally ill. That's at the bottom of their to do list.
I see someone calling out a certain skin color just like you did. Same thing. Unchecked stereotyping/racism. It’s not necessary to bring color into it but here we are…again.
Yes he was . I definitely sensed an obvious disdain for white people in that post. He/she could just say conservatives. He/she could just say GOP. Skin color not necessary.
You sensed? Funny a lot of conservatives claim minorities play the "race card" when they "sense" racism. If you believe that the GOP is in part a race driven party, then yes, the whiteness of the GOP is a legitimate part of that to point out.
O'Rourke's little sideshow stuff doesn't work anymore. But on a serious note, Abbott really should just expand medicaid. It's the fastest path to expanding mental health that Texas has.
this is a very small town that's predominantly Latino. Do you know that culture well? you first have to recognize that it is a mental health problem. As mentioned, his mother appeared to have drug problems. no mention of the father. looks like he needed help when he was about 14. there are people who don't even go for checkups , Nevermind seek mental health assistance for this children.
Uh, this already happened. Steve Scalise got shot at the softball game, still has an A+ rating from the NRA.
