I am against both, unless it is absolutely necessary (lost in the woods etc.)

Ignoring ZRB's rants which are pretty nuts, I don't see hunting as necessary or beneficial. If you want to do it, that's ok, but it doesn't make things better for the animals by thinning out their ranks and no one needs to hunt for food unless they live off the land.

If you want to kill an animal for food, that is up to you. But, bonding with nature has very little to do with killing animals. Just go sit in the woods. It is much more peaceful. And Mother Nature has a way of thinning out the ranks of animals when it is necessary. The reason there are so many deer in the first place is because we encroached on animals who prey on deer and who are more afraid of humans than the deer are.

If you want to make a personal argument as to why you choose to hunt, that's fine, but there isn't any real logic in it unless you can't survive without hunting.

By the way, as a former avid fisherman, I feel the same about fishing. I loved to fish but I gave it up because I couldn't bring myself to do harm to another living creature in that way.

I do not hate ANYONE for their actions. Honestly, I don't even hate the action. I just choose not to hunt or fish myself. Whoever else wants to is cool with me. [IMG]

The difference between hunting and fishing? You can catch a fish, take the hook out and release it back into the water. You can't shoot an animal, remove the bullet, and let it go on it's merry way across the savannah.

Do you hate Hunting for Truffles?
Hell if you look at it from a plant's
perspective . . .[esp weeds] farming is
    pretty much a slave situation.
