I mean come on, we clearly won that deal.. Cordero was expensive and a choker... Kinda like ur boy Brad Lidge... A-Rod was immovable and we were still paying for most of his salary after he was gone.. not anymore...We got ripped off with Young, Gonzalez, and John Danks though ill give u that... We got the whole Atlanta Braves farm for Teixiera...So were not in bad shape.. And BTW What have the Stros done in the past 10 years other than blow it against the Chi Sox in the World Series? How many world series have the Astros ever won?? Thats right us too..
Don't ever compare the Rangers history to the Astros. It's not even close. There was nothing like going to MMP during those runs in 04 and 05. We care about our team and we've been competitive. Only the Yankees, Red Sox and Braves have a higher win % since 97. The ballpark up there in Arlington is dead night in and night out. There is no fan base. The ushers are rude and I've seen many fat ppl up there past out in CF during the Lone Star Series casue it's soooo hot. Texanskan I remember in 06 when it was 104 on a Friday. I'd rather get swept in the World Series ever year than waking up knowing I was a Ranger fan. In the nicest way possible, I can sum the Rangers franchise in three phases. 1972-1995: Nothing. 1996-1999: Playoffs. 2000-Present: Nothing.

exactly...not even close. the rangers have rarely kept the season interesting by august 1 in their 40 some-odd year history. they have a grand total of 3 playoff appearances. they are the team that you forget to name when asked to name all the teams in the league. they've never been compelling...never been interesting. they have zero fan presence at their games...and i don't mean that just from an attendance standpoint.

I'm an Astros fan, and It's obvious to me that Astros fans are really bitter when it comes to Clemens... I am not defending the guy here, I think he is a jerk/jackass/egomaniac, but I don't understand why whenever something is said about him, we just act like it has been verified and we start talking about how horrible he is for doing that..
