Tayshaun Prince is my choice. If we strike out with the big names (Melo, Iguodola), I think he's a guy who can be had without having to give up much and would be a huge improvement over our current SF situation.

He was out injured last year, but before that he missed two games in seven seasons. Hard to call him injury-proned, and he's only thirty. Still has a few good years left in him.

WTF does an injury prone, old Tayshaun offer this team? Nothing significant.

One of the better perimeter defenders in the league who can also score double digits per game with high efficiency. Grab five plus rebounds a game, 3 plus assists? Championship experience.

did you see him play last season? when he wasn't hurt he wasn't a difference maker. Might as well have kept Ariza.

Yeah, Ariza without jacking-up shots and with some efficiency. I don't think anyone here would have minded keeping Trevor if that was the case.

Of course he's not going to be a difference maker as the best player on the team. As a fourth or fifth option though he would have an impact, and a significant improvement to our offensive versatility, which as it stands will be hampered buy a guy who just stands in the corner/wing.

I'm all for getting a super star IF we can, but if we don't I still wouldn't mind trying to contend this season by adding the best bit piece we can get. You think it's totally out of the question this team can contend without adding Melo? I disagree.

It's more than that though, he may be the best player, but Stephen Jackson's not that far off. He, along with any players we may offer could substitute Wallace's role.

Plus, the Bobcats have some really really bad contracts. They need expirings/efficient contracts. We have a lot of that.

Melo's a volume scorer, and I guess considering how many he shots he takes the fact that his efficiency hasn't reached Allen Iverson levels is astounding. Taken as a whole Melo is indeed better than GW, he's less injury prone, younger and probably more marketable. However court-wise I don't think there's that much difference between the two. In fact I'd argue that GW is actually a better player on the court than Melo. Last season GW was a lot more "amazing" than Melo scoring wise, and GW beats him in defense and rebounding.

If we're purely into win now GW might not be a bad choice. Of course, I'd rather have Iggy than either Melo or GW.

Jordan's aching for some star power. GW is a good player but he won't attract the fans. If we really wanted to we can offer C-bud+jeffries+pick for GW. I'm pretty sure MJ wouldn't pass up the chance to get the black Larry Bird.

best post i've seen in a minute. GW is a beast, and with Battier at the 3, we would be SET. both can move if necessary (battier guarding bigger 2's and Wallace guarding bigger 4's) We already got enough scoring on our team. High energy player. what's not to love?

I'm sorry, but Tayshaun's ship has sailed. He doesn't play with any effort, and it looks like he has lost his love for the game. Definatley not Rocket material.

I don't know where y'all get this stuff from. Tayshaun would be a HUGE upgrade over our current starting small forward. Below is an excerpt from a recent article.
