No, I'm not saying it will be easy. But, the reason I'm bringing it up is because a player like Donyell Marshall shares the record. Don't get me wrong. I like Marshall for what he brings to the table. But I'm trying to figure out what he brings to the table that Novak doesn't, especially from long range. Marshall is basically a backup long range rifle off the bench, brought in the game to drain a couple treys and spread out the defense. And on that Toronto team, you had Carter, Bosh, and Mo Pete on the floor. How is that different than TMac (VC), Yao (Bosh), and Battier/Bonzi (Mo Pete), along with Rafer? I am not confident that Novak will do it this year, just because he is young and we are looking for W's. However, it would not surprise me if towards the end of the season, when playoff positioning has been relatively determined and lottery teams are fighting to see how many game they lose, it would not surprise me to see a game where Novak could get up 15-20 shots. The rub would be would JVG leave him out there to have a shot at the record? I am however fairly confident that Novak will hit 8 in some game this season.
Yeah, some of us get carried away. Let's keep it real. What, in your opinon, is the greatest number of 3 pointers that Novak will hit in a game this year?
If you think this is bad, could you image how it would have been if the message board was around when Bullard was playing
And Scott Skiles had something like 30 assists in one game. All the more reason this poll/question is pretty pointless. You never know by whom, or when, these types of records will be broken.
Novak will break the record on Dallas with the last a buzzer shot over Nowitzki.. giving the Rox a game 7 playoff win with a 124-123 score.
For his minutes...he should be looking forward to breaking rookie records for the franchise instead of NBA records...In the future, the opportunity might be there, but he doesn't look to have the strength to do that and defend the opposing player
