Ok, I'm getting dizzy now. Who? What? Where/ Why? Oh sure just bring em all in here, I ordered an extra pizza!
Seems like it. Whatever happened to Morey the tough dealer? Lee is worth a 1st rounder in the late teens.
Early 2nd is potentially worth more than a late first, it's unguaranteed. Welcome to 2012. Now: Portland sent US this guy *for a 2nd round pick*?? Who sent Portland a 2nd round pick? Not us I hope. Anyone have the details of that little tidbit?
Courtney was unrestricted. This trade was more of a favor to him to get a salary he deserved, and we acquired a valuable 2nd round pick in the process. Boston couldn't sign Courtney outright, so we did the sign and trade.
I'm sure the blazers pick would be a future 2nd rounder from celtics ... Probably a few years away ... They are basically getting a free pick
It's a sign and trade. You don't get all kinds of goodies from a sign and trade... That Bobcat second rounder is the only real thing that valuable to us. What is it with posters that think we can swindle teams out of a king's ransom on things like sign and trades for average to above average players?
he holds record for most 3-point field goals in Big Ten History, along with the 2nd highest 3P FG% in Big 10 History. he had the best Offensive Rating in all of NCAA in the 2010-2011 season. he seems to have had a great college career with Ohio University, let's hope that success will translate over to his Rookie Season in the NBA. unless he doesnt play for the Rockets lol.
Last I looked we had what 21 players signed? Lots of guys (6) going to get waived or released it appears. Maybe we can squeeze one more 2nd rounder out of the lot of them. Essentially, we traded Lee for the Bobcats 2nd rounder. Not so bad considering we we have gotten zilch had he wanted to play for a team with cap room.
Say goodbye Jeremy Lamb! You've been replaced! How does Morey do it??!! This guy is going to be the next Brent Price! Finals, here we come!!
We did the right thing by Lee in trading him to a playoff team, and getting him paid his due. We also did the right thing by Boston in not trying to squeeze them on this deal...don't think that this will go unnoticed by the league and player agents. One good turn deserves another.
