Oh, now I understand. I "don't have a life" because I'm still talking about an injustice that was two months ago, but its ok for you, gb, and the rest of the Spurs-haters to b**ch about the season three years ago?

The day everyone gives the Spurs credit for winning a true championship is the day I will "get over" the 27 free throws.

I've talked about the spurs championship probably once or twice since Ive been in here, so dont act like I always talk about that. you on the other hand have continued to talk about the Lakers and officiating , and have even gone as far as to say that you hate the Lakers even though you dont know any of them personally.

Please... maybe once or twice a week. I want to drop the subject on the Lakers and officiating... if I had my choice, I wouldn't bring it up again. However, if you're not going to give the Spurs credit for their championship, then there's no reason for the Lakers to get credit for theirs this season.

Once or twice a week? ok, then in the past 2 months I must have between 8 and 16 posts , care to go find them? I'll give you $500 if you can find more than three different occasions where I've talked about the Spurs championship.

I didn't think this was worthy of it's own topic, and yet this thread (regrettably) is the only topic even related to Lewis lately ...

    http://www.tribnet.com/sports/story/1535982p-1652937c.html

    Some highlights from the article...

<LI> In an exclusive interview with The News Tribune, Lewis said that if the Sonics do not come up with more money, "Then I will be a Dallas Maverick."

<LI> When asked what amount of money it would take to get him back in a Sonics uniform, Lewis said, "I can't say. I can't discuss money right now. But it would have to be <B>a lot more than $60 million.</B>"

<LI> "If I signed a contract for $60 million, the starting salary would be, what, $6 million?" Lewis asked rhetorically. Actually, it would be $6.25 million. "The mid-level exception is $4.5 million," he continued. "To me, $2 million is not that big a difference. Don't get me wrong. It is a lot of money. But it is not that big a difference."

<LI> "That's the main thing about Dallas. If I can't get paid what I want, then I want to try to win a championship right now."

He also said he plans on getting this done in 2-3 weeks .... "end of the month".

That's the thing with young players nowadays. They don't know how to keep their mouth shut. He is just making his agent's job more difficult.
