Ok...I like me some private selection when i want some cheap ice cream..but it doesnt "blow" anything away..much less come close to blue bell. 99% of people will agree with my point.

I don't like Blue Bell. They use too many chemicals.

Ben and Jerry Chocolate Chip for me.

For those of you who live in Houston, go to Kroger's and get Graeter's ice cream. The black raspberry chip is the best ice cream you will ever eat. The ice cream is creamy and the chips are basically soft fudge chunks that melt in your mouth. Amazing stuff.

Most of the flavors have either high fructose or transfats.

I think vanillas are the only flavors that don't have them.

My wife and I order it online and have it delivered to our apt in NY. We love the stuff.

I hardly have ice cream but when I do it's Haagen-Dazs. It is cream of the crop when it comes to Ice Cream. Everything they make is ****ing divine. Not too sweet, not too heavy but just the perfect balance and combo of everything and it tastes gourmet.

Their 5 line is dee-lish. Their Rum Raisen and green tea are unique and amazing. If I truly want to be a fat kid this is it [IMG] nothing beats it.

Nobody will ever convince me that there is an ice cream better than Blue Bell. Being somewhat of an ice cream fiend - I've tried a plethora of other brands, and while one specialty flavor or one maker may entice me to buy it once or twice, maybe even for a few months, I always go back to Blue Bell.

OMG yes. A coworker told me about it. I love Blue Bell but Graeters blows it away easily. It's so thick and has the richness to it, and the chocolate chips are huge. 5 dollars for a pint well spent!

I usually eat Birthday Cake or Cookie Dough if I don't get vanilla. Their cookie dough is perfect. Only store brand that does it right.

My wife bought me some BB Birthday Cake Ice Cream from Kroger the other day, and I must say it isn't that good. It has been my favorite flavor in the past, so I don't know if they changed something, or if it is something else. All I know, is it tastes like its from Bryers, not BB.

the homemade vanilla has HFCS in it... i believe the vanilla bean is the only one without it.

seems to me that they changed out the cream, and sugar for HFCS and many other "natural" chemicals.

if you think the ben and jerry's you buy at the grocery store "suck ass," you don't like ice cream. i don't think i've ever heard a more outlandish statement. that's like saying "driving a ferrari in italy is awesome, but driving one in the states sucks ass."

    That tears it.

I'm going to go buy a pint of every single ice cream brand (cookie dough seems like a good universal flavor to measure) and melt it all down to show who has the most toppings included in their ice cream.
