    Another Reported Trade Rumor...

" Could a trade for Iverson be in the wings for Sixers GM Billy King? One potential development had him going to Houston for Steve Francis, who himself is clashing with Jeff Van Gundy’s coaching style (read: playing defense). But a much more likely scenario would be one that mirrors the Sixers trade of Charles Barkley many years ago.

Here’s how it goes down: The 76ers would trade Iverson and Aaron McKie to Houston in exchange for power forward Mo Taylor, shooting guard Cuttino Mobley and small forward Scott Padgett. This would give them the ability to move Kenny Thomas to small forward and get some scoring from the 4-spot. Also, and perhaps more importantly, it allows Philly to make some room under the cap by dumping McKie’s unwarranted contract extension and letting Padgett walk at season’s end. Houston then would send Steve Francis to Memphis (where he would be reunited with the team that drafted him) in exchange for power forward Lorenzen Wright, small forward Shane Battier and point guard Earl Watson. Watson would share minutes at point guard with Iverson switching between the 1 and the 2. The Rockets would be left with this starting 5: Yao, Wright, Battier, Jim Jackson and Iverson. The Sixers: Derrick Coleman, Taylor, Thomas, Mobley and Eric Snow, with plenty of room to do a sign and trade for Rasheed Wallace or go after a Steve Nash. Meanwhile, Memphis gets better with Gasol at center, Swift, Mike Miller, Francis and J-Will running the point. "

The deal with Philly would be good. The deal with Memphis sounds like crap.

Do they even know what they are talking about?

I'm no Real GM'er, but just guessing at contracts, I'd say neither trade is even legal.
Also, each trade is SO wrong that MC1M#*@!@## could have done better.

The trades are crap. They just have to get adjusted w/ this offense and think smarter on their passing/scoring techniques.

If the Rockets trade SF for anything less than a superstar, it will be the biggest mistake this franchise has ever made.

yeah... that's the only fault that i see with the trade (philly's getting nothing in return), but other than that it would be great for the rockets... after this season.

any players that you can get that have played under hube would kick arse. wright and bat aren't chumps. and of course, iverson... whew!

hold on... this would make boki our spark off of the bench... right? nevermind then.
