we still have a need at C, but i wouldn't worry about SF. i think our SF minutes will go to the backcourt. we'll see more 3 guard lineups.

My guess is ennis/KJ for a center like ajinca or o'quinn, then sign a free agent SF who was waived after a trade like barnes.

 

Don't think we have space to feasibly add anything significant without a 3rd team which complicates things. Wouldn't be surprised if we swing a second rounder or something for Ennis since we don't own any of own second rounders if I'm not mistaken.

Wouldn't be upset at all if going into battle with Lou Williams. May have to wait to add front court depth via fa or trade in the off season.

 

KJ McDaniels for Ajinca?

 

KJ+Ennis+Nene works for Bogut. That's 7.9M for 11M

Nene would be a 3rd/4th C if they add a true C to the roster.

 

To me Morey should only make a move if there's a predatory one like the Williams trade available. For example if Koufus is available for KJ then do it, otherwise dont bother.

There's no rush, GSW's big 4 ends this year so why break the bank for a stopgap that will be available in the offseason?

 

Yeah ok trade away the vet who took vet min to sign with a contender then ship him out to a rebuilding franchise. Thats a good way to incur goodwill from players.

 

Morey would be a true cold blooded g if he traded Nene, but he'd have to know that vets would be hesitant to come here on that one year deal going forward,

 

Also should watch for buyouts. Several good players should get bought out and we will be a prime landing spot.

 

Taj Gibson would be a good get.

 

Hope we can make a move that puts Ariza on the bench with the 2nd unit.

 

The next best thing would be to move parts to ATL for Thabo to reduce Ariza's minutes.

KJ for Ajinca makes too much sense for both sides. Ajinca still has two years after this year but its a small contract, it can be moved if need be. Only minor issue with this is I know he's looking for more playing time and he'll be behind Capela and Nene in the rotation, but its not like he's going to be better off staying put anyway.

Its also dumb Nene is a good guy in the locker room and can be retained cheaply going forward. He started the season way too relaxed for my taste but not is playing like a beast unleashed every time he sees the court, the dunking the ball with authority and giving cheap shots out like a man on a mission. He brings a lot of nastiness on this team that is sorely needed. OTH Bogut was a dumbass who already rejected us in favor of Dallas. Let him lay in the bed he made, and reward players who instead took a chance on us.
