Yeah someone like Chandler is out of the question. We're not trading away a starter, and we don't have enough salary to send back now.

I'm not sure if another trade will happen, but I'm positive Morey doesn't want Dekker as our only SF off the bench. (I'm actually surprised they didn't send KJ and Ennis rather than Brewer).

If you're ready to part with Dekker then probably. We don't have a 1st rounder anymore so you're going to have to look at the roster and pick your most expendable player that's been producing.

    Go big Morey!

Ariza, Gordon, Dekker, Capela for PG13...I mean, that's better than what Sac got.

Then flip KJ and our 2nds for Noel.

    Harden / Lou
    Beverley
    George
    Anderson
    Noel / Nene

Tough to get something done now. Morey won't trade any of our key rotation players. Our assets are Dekker, Harrell, Ennis, KJ, future 1st, plus our 2nd rounders, maybe Nene if need be. Not a lot of salary to match incoming players. I doubt Morey goes all in this year, which means he will hesitate trading Dekker or Harrell for an expiring.

We still lack a big, defensive center that can protect the rim and rebound - someone that is more mobile and athletic than Nene and can also finish at the rim without getting blocked all the time. Would the 76'ers trade Noel for two of Ennis, Nene, KJ, and two 2nd rounders? Doubtful. Ajinca from Pels or Koufos from Kings for the same package? Both are better than Nene, but don't move the needle much. O'Quinn can be added without having to include Nene, but would the Knicks trade him for 2 2nd rounders?

The other need is a veteran back-up for the 3/4 spots. Dekker is not consistent, he needs some support. Gallinari, would be the archetypical target for this role, but matching his salary requires offloading 5 players including Dekker. Booker, Tucker, Chandler, Dudley and Ilyasova are gettable vets. Personally I would go for Booker or Tucker to give us some rebounding and defense, but I feel that Morey will double down on shooting and go for Dudley.

We are not trading Gordon or Anderson this season I doubt under almost any circumstance. IMHO

    "Almost" should exempt Paul George.

Your point of view has been too realistic.

I like the idea of going after Jahlil Okafor with another pick and KJ & maybe Ennis if more salary is needed which I don't think it is.

Lets face it... Okafor will be a higher prospect than anything the Rockets will get their hands on in the next two seasons in the draft. The Rockets can trade the 2019 pick and be in the conversation with Philly who have to be excited about getting a future first for Okafor given the market significantly dropped after the Cousins trade lowered the bar for what they can expect. I think 2019 first, KJ, a second, and maybe throw in the rights to Llull or Gentile if needed, and thats a solid deal for both teams. KJ is also still a solid player for them to try to expand over the next year. He played really well his first season under Brett Brown as well.

Okafor doesn't really put the Rockets over the top this year I'll admit, but he gives them a player to build on for their future, and replaces Nene next year if he moves on. In the short term the guy can still score in the low post with the best of them despite not being a strong defender in the paint, but I think he can be in a few years.

Of course a deal like this could blow up in our faces if Okafor turns out to be another Thomas Robinson gamble gone wrong, and the Rockets plunge in 18/19 leading to the loss of a quality first rounder. But if you think Okafor will at least be starting Center quality in a year or two, AND you think the Rockets will still be a playoff team in two seasons, I say this would be a great trade to make. You have great upside moving forward with a Capela/Okafor center rotation, and you haven't hurt the team this year while on a playoff run. You actually added depth at the 5.

I would take Okafor, but not for another 1st. Maybe 2 2nds plus salary filler.

In order to get Wilson Chandler, you need young pieces and a pick. So, you give up:

    - SAM DEKKER
    - Ariza (or Bev)
    - 2nd rd. pick

If you got Wilson Chandler, you don't need Dekker no more. And plus, I would be happy to see Dekker go as it would decrease the sturdy-types on the squad.

Plus, I need to laugh at FTW and all these Nationalist Posters thinking sturdy types are the cream-of-the-crop. Im praying Morey deal Dekker and Ariza and 2nd pick, though.

Gawd I want to laugh at these Nationalist Posters so bad, man!!!

It will just sink their hearts! Haha....just thinking about it make me hard. LOLOLOLOLOL!!

I think Morey is waiting for Chicago to more Butler. If that happens an ariza for Gibson makes too much sense.

    Depends.

Who else in Lakers would fit us. They seem ripe for the picking with Magic Johnson and Pelinka

Throw them a few bones. I mean send them a few videos and presentations of how good Anus and Kj McDonald are using stats and analysis. They may bite

    Chandler for Ariza and Harrell
    Noel for KJ and Dekker

    Bev/Lou
    Harden/Gordon
    Chandler
    Ryno/Nene
    Capela/Noel

Maybe get Mirotic or Ajinca for nothing. So many small ball possibilities.

We found a way to help get our 3 guards minutes down . Now we need to find a way to get Ariza's down as well . Maybe with the shooting of Williams vs brew will make dantoni comfortable playing Harrell at the 4 which would free up Dekker to backup the 3
