The solution is to have guns around the building in those cases like they do fire extinguishers. Just need a little hammer and a in case of active shooter break glass sign.

Which is why the armed guards argument is a red herring.

You go from a cush life of daily donuts and harassing stoner kids or types that traumatized you in hs, and when a psycho decked out in tactical gear and armor storms in with a rifle that can pump out 45-400 armor piercing rounds per minute, then you'll likely say F-that and run away with your pistol like those Uvalde sherrifs.

Nah, mall cop/school guardian (...and teachers...and students...only the good ones...not the crazy ones...or weird ones...or...) just needed even more "active shooter training" (from John Wick?), we need to pay them more to not be cowards, and we simply need to lock all doors!!

MoRe GuNs is almost always a stupid idea but I don't think they ever confirmed any of this.

What we have is a clip from the 911 call where the caller says they think one or two people who work on campus concealed carry... and we never even found out if those people were on campus that day, or if they did indeed have weapons.

give each child a bullet proof vest as part of their school supplies, and have at least 5 armed guards patrolling the perimeter of each school

also have a gun in a lock box in each classroom like they do fire extinguishers that the teacher can unlock in case of emergency as well as an emergency button that is pressed that announces school shooter on the premises through the intercom…when that is pressed, 2 steel walls will lower…one that blocks the windows, and one that blocks the door

increase taxes significantly to pay for all of this

u are no longer going to school, you’re going to prison…class is in cell block D

beef up security at schools, and they’ll just move on to shooting up other places more consistently…grocery stores, movie theaters, clubs, bars, churches, etc

Here’s a crazy idea. If they have to go on a shooting spree, why not target child molesters? That info is public (at least in Texas).

there’s no public child molester meetups

it’s easy to go to a school or grocery store and start spraying…they can kill 10 people in 2 minutes

I suppose its good to hedge a mass shooting by bringing holy water.

    Terrific evidence of insanity.

There were 10K kids who protested at the TN capital and not a mention on national news. Crazy.

Honestly I and other architects have considered drop steel doors to trap shooters in school design. We already have things like fire doors and shutters and there has been consideration for using things like that to stop school shootings.

I’m currently working on a new high school in North Dakota and am considering measures to deal with school shootings. Primarily controlled entrances. The problem is that people don’t want to see kids educated in a prison or a bunker. So we also have to try to make the building more open and inviting.

There needs to be nationwide red flag laws and if you are nuts you shouldn't own a gun.
