I fell in love with this beer in Puerto Rico. Anyone know where I can get this here in Houston??? Yummy Double Yummy
I've been drinking St Arnold's Amber a lot lately when out. Shiner Bock is still my go to beer for poker. I generally go Dos Equis if I'm just relaxing.
When I go out I normally order either Shiner, which has been posted, and this...but with an orange slice.
I've been going with Real Ale Brewing Company stuff lately...mainly because they're tasty and you can get a variety pack at the store... http://www.realalebrewing.com/beer_styles.php
Urthel Tripel - They've got a new one out, Hibernatus or something. Not quite as good as the regular stuff, which is by far the best tripel I've ever tasted. Saison Dupont Farmhouse Ale - An unusual taste, but fantastic once you acquire it. Bear Republic's Hop Rod Rye - The best hophead beer not called Celebration Ale.
When I stopped by the grocery store on the way home from work today, I noticed that they now have Shiner Black Lager. Since it's been recommended so many times on the the board, I gave it a try. It is a great beer. I really like it.
Now this is the answer I was looking for. Celebrator is my alltime number one. I have had it straight from the tap at the Brauerei in Aying - great great stuff. I'll post again later about some of the other comments, some interesting stuff. Just a few minutes ago I had a Brooklyn Extra Brune - a fantastic new limited edition Belgian strong ale from the Brooklyn Brewery. Sweet and delicious. Not sure if it's available outside the NYC area, but if it is, advise you to drink some.
Sam's is surprisingly not bad, but if you want a schwarzbier, go for Kostritzer -fairly available. And if you have the time and the Euros and the inclination, go to the Alstadthof Brewery at the top of the hill near the Alstatdt in Nuremberg- best black beer I have ever had, easily, easily easily.
ive been hooked on MGD Light .....a bit watered down, but it works for me because I like to drink beer quick (while its cold) over the course of a few hours but don't care to get tipsy I like taste more than the side affects
the ultimate beer snob thread. sorry, sam, i am going to disappoint my favorites: Grolsch Delerium Tremens Pilsner Urquell Leinenkugel Sunset Wheat (too sweet for more than one or two) Kirin Ichiban Stella Artois Modelo Especial Most of my all-time favorite beers were various kolsch's and wheat beers that I drank when living in Germany that are not sold here EDIT: and of course, Shiner Bock
