yeah, but you didn't have to use it. read a story this morning that they're moving everyone to that over the next couple of weeks. every page with the timeline looks like an advertisement for the person...that doesn't interest me, really.
ugh, really? i was thinking that would always be optional. i disabled my fb account at the new year because i wasted so much time on it and needed to focus on getting a new job. i figured i'd reward myself by reactivating it. i'm pretty close to landing my job (fingers crossed), but i dunno...i keep reading about privacy concerns with facebook, and if you have to revert to that creepy new profile...ew. no thanks, brah.
Yeah, I activated it just to see what it was and now I'm stuck with it. I seriously ****ing hate it. It looks like a comic book layout. I rarely use it anymore but it's such a PITA to delete every pic, etc. to forever delete a profile. I don't have the time for it.
do you still have to do that? i heard that they actually made the elusive "delete account" available. scionxa?
I came across several reasons....none of which I will divulge here. Do a little digging, dude....it's not hard to find.
it would still be nice if they secretively gave information to the US govt about them...i mean, if they really wanted to fight the good fight.
I really don't mind the timeline. The information is the same stuff that's always been there and the layout doesn't bother me.
I added the timeline a while back as I wanted to see what is was like and I heard that it would become mandatory anyways. I'll probably get rid of FB soon but definitely want to wait until after the election thats when facebook goes crazy for both sides. It will make great comedy... It was cool to see whats happening with old friends/classmates when FB first started but after years of seeing pointless updates/pictures etc from somebody you havent seen in years and will never see again it gets old... Maybe it will be fun again in the year 2025
Actually like the new layout, the title picture you can add makes profiles look a lot better imo, the old style was boring. And all that privacy bs people keep talking about, you could see the same informations with the old layout.
honestly, this is part of why i want out of FB. it's already started. i don't need FB to go all political, and it does way too often.
I've basically destroyed my FB this week. the only thing I have on there is a handful of pictures and also cut my friends list in half. Just close friends and family.
